Okay, this is just in case anybody meets me in the game. If you see me and you want to trade, TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT BEFORE CLICKING TRADE! It's just common courtesy; clicking "trade" without saying whether you're buying or selling, and what items are involved is annoying because I'm getting this popup message without any warning, interrupting me when I'm in the middle of doing something. Please be polite and ask first; everyone deserves the right to say no before being forced into a different screen.
Trading
If you decline the trade request, then the aggressor can just issue another one. Some aggressors do issue repeated requests, as a form of denial-or-service attack. Consider just closing the notification window, without accepting or declining the trade request.
Let them do repeated request. Then ask them to stop. They probably won't.
Which is great.
You can now report them for spamming (and add them to your ignore list).
This belongs to suggestion, as the obvious remedy is for Three Rings to remove that trading popup. It should just be a passive notification at the top of the screen.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I just happened to get about four trade requests in a row after a bad day. Now, is there a way for the creator of a thread to lock it? This is my first actual thread. Looking back, I wish I hadn't wasted it on blind rage. Again, thank you all for your suggestions.
Edit the topic, go to the drop down menu and move it to "The Graveyard." Try not to let it know what you're doing though. It may try to convince you that it's not dead. If that does happen, just bludgeon it over the head and throw it on the cart with the rest of the dead topics.
Who sells one of these
*Blue rose set*
*Metal sonic armor*
Steam name is devonpouw or Neo Shade
Ranting won't do anything, since they won't read it. Or they do, but continue sending random trade requests anyway.
What you need are counter measures.
1. If you are busy, click "No Thanks" and ignore them. Otherwise, accept the trade.
2. Wait for their actions.
2a. If they beg for money, go to 4.
2b. If they put up various materials onto the table, go to 3.
3. Respond with a low low price. These kind of people are highly unlikely to do proper market research. Yay for cheap mats.
4. Ask them for mats. Again, with low low price. They wanted something for free from you, what's wrong making them give you a discount?
4a. They comply. Yay for cheap mats.
4b. They refuse to put anything onto the table. Cancel trade, add these rubbish to your ignore list.
And if they try to beg via /tell, don't let them. Announce it to the world. "What, are you too embarrassed to let everyone know you are begging, [Knight name]?"
