If I have an elevator pass and I tab someone for elevators, does the elevator pass cover their energy cost too, or will I still have to pay for it?

Right. In other words, the pass pays for your elevator cost, but not anyone else's. So if you tab someone, you'll be paying 10 energy for them, as usual.

it kinda sucks for me...
That you have to pay $5.40 (i think) to get a pass for just 30 days....... But then again OOO does need some funds for their awesome game that they made ;)

30 days is quite a long time. Think about all the things you can do within those 30 days.
If you have any form of job at all, you'll be able to easily make up the $5.40 before the pass even expires.
Elevator passes cost less than it does to eat at a fast food restaurant.

30 days
30 days is PLENTY of time to do alot of things, such as get enough heat and ce to level up to 5 star gear. I only had the two week pass, yet I already have 4 star gear, and pretty close to getting 5 star gear.

I believe the only way in the game to gift an EP is by gifting the Guardian Armour Pack via Steam, which contains an EP in it. The problems with this are that it's 10x the price of the EP alone (albeit it's on offer right now for 75% off that) and can only be received by any given account one time.

The elevator pass only changes your elevator cost from 10 Energy to 0. So if you tab someone it uses your energy (10 Energy/per) since they have the normal elevator cost.
