Spiral Concepts (because I suck at creating original names for things)

So, I had these lil' thingies hiding in my laptop, and I figure it's time for them to debut here. Just a series of sketches and concepts I had envisioned for SK, from armor concepts, to the possibility of a new Boss (perhaps for a danger mission or expansion) and new enemies. If it's not too much to ask, I'd like to hear the opinions of 3Rings and everyone else. 'Constructive criticism' and the like.

*I was inspired into making this by the game Transformers: Fall of Cybertron as a promo idea, like the 'Metal Sonic' promo they did.

Yeahh....about that...
I placed the topic here because the 'General Discussion' subforum is one of the most viewed when compared to the 'Suggestions' subforum. I see loads of ideas and possible improvements there, but almost no feedback from 3Rings. I was hoping to have better luck.

Eh, I no longer play in the US server, too much lag pretty much ruins it for me, right now I use the asian HongKon server. Descriptions I can handle too, in fact I already have a backstory for Zarcoss and no worries, I always give credit to those that help me and all help is apreciated. Know any colorists or Photoshoop users? :]

You're not the first person to try this tactic. People don't read and comment at the Suggestions forum, because they don't want to read and comment on suggestions. Placing your suggestion in General Discussion is not helpful to anyone but you. It just pollutes this forum, and diminishes the value of having different forums for people with different interests.

@Razor-Dash He's not being rude. In case you haven't known, many people post topics that do not pertain to "General Discussion" and are moved to a different sub-forum. Bopp is just explaining you aren't the first person to try and get a suggestion acknowledged in General Discussion, and to move it to suggestions to prevent right topics in wrong places. "Pollute" was not an insult, just another way of saying "mixing topics". You just took it the wrong way. If you'd like to get this post noticed, you have a better chance at getting someone's attention in Suggestions, rather than actually trying to grab attention in General Discussion.

I understand, but I still don't like the way Bopp used to address this thread. I'll move it, but this thread will end up forgotten like the majority in the 'suggestions' forum. I just wanted to help improve this game with something new.

Uh, do you even get items from cross-game promos on the HK server? No? What's the point in suggesting something for a server that you don't even play on?

Oh, it's you. Think, before saying absurdities. So far, the things that got implemented in the HK and TW servers WERE already implemented in the main servers (except the ce-purchasable OCH), so it's to say, when the much anticipated Guild Hall expansion arrives, it will also come to these servers, perhaps at a later date, but they will still come. Do you play there with us? No? So, what's the point in stipulating something about a server you don't even play on? We have access to all the danger missions save the newest one, the "ghosts in the machine" or whatever it's called, but it will come in due time. Who's to say we won't get those items and costumes from cross-game promos? IT'S A PROMO, it promotes both Spiral Knights and those other games.

Razor-Dash, thanks for moving your thread. My intent was not to hurt or insult you. I rarely ask people to move threads, unless I genuinely feel that the move would help them or the community.
I like your drawings. These questions may help you flesh them out into full-blown suggestions:
* What are the statistics on these armor pieces, weapons, and bosses? Do they offer new play styles (as Warmaster Rocket Hammer did)? What makes them different from current amor, weapons, and bosses?
* If the armor and weapons are boss reward items, then they should be decent, but not overpowered. How do their statistics compare with other armor and weapons?
Alternatively, if you don't want to flesh these out into suggestions, then maybe try the Treasure Vault forum? That's where people post fan art. Either way, good luck.

How gullible can you be with believing into Activision (or w/e holding the rights to the franchise) striking a deal with OOO/SEGA? The only cross-game promos were from Valve and SEGA published games. Nothing else. Ripping off designs is theft, not promoting. On what planet do you live?

You know why HuCast would fly and bomberman not? Because SEGA owns OOO and Phantasy Star series (which from the HuCast is) while Bomberman is Hudson Soft's for which there is no real connection with them.
There is no point for promos if there is no real gain for both sides which there would be no for Activision (or w/e holding the rights to the franchise).

The first one looks like Optimus Prime as a kid. The cutlass is nice but would probably be a reskinned Calibur and the shield looks like it could be a new model for Scarlet.
The second is a little too similar to Skelly with the helmet but the shield and gun could be part of a set with Graviton. The gun could be like an inverse Valiance where instead of pushing back a little it brings the target closer and the shield can have its bumping ability exchanged for a chance to stabilize a target temporarily to prevent it from moving for a couple seconds.

Why is it, that every single thread you enter ends up worse than before? It's like you love to do nothing more than to twist everything into your point of view and make everyone miserable. And god forbid, theft and ripoffs? Do you even know what those are? This is just concept artwork for Christ's sake! It's bound to change before even being finalized! I made those sketches because I was inspired by those other games, where exactly do you read "This armor set allows you to change into a vehicle"? It's just a reference to another franchise, like how the Voltedges' description refers to the '1.21 gigawatt discharge'. If you bothered to read it you'll know what film they reference.

Keep your forked tongue behind your teeth and leave, if you've nothing helpful or constructive to say.
@Bopp Sorry if I jumped the gun at you, and thanks for your questions. The statistics for the gear/Bosses/enemies is still undecided, haven't decided on the evolutions, but below are some initial ideas I have:
-Cyber-Knight set-
Helm- defensive power is normal and piercing damage, along with shock resist at 5*/ Damage bonus for gunners plus the health bonus
Armor- same as above, except instead of giving a damage bonus, it gives a movement speed bonus
Weak against stun, fire and freeze.
-Engine Blade-
normal attack- a single slash, followed by three more slashes, and the combo ends with an upwards slash. The attacks keep sending you forward.
charged attack - a massive forward slash that sends an energy wave for a small distance and knocks back enemies, stunning them.
-Barrage Shield-
defensive power is normal, piercing and shock damage, and it also features a special ability: when the shield breaks you receive damage like always, but it sends a small pulse wave that knocks enemies back some distance. If it does damage as well, perhaps not.
Concerning Zarcoss......I still need to plan some more, but I figure he'd give off curse statuses, following his 'curse' motif.
@Luguiru A cutlass? Now I'm thinking Spiral Pirates...
Concerning the second one, Zarcoss, as he is named, he is a Phantom, as tall as Lt. Feron, and lore-wise, one who orchestrated Arkus's descent into madness....
Nice sketches! Maybe you should move this thread to the Suggestions section since it's sort of a suggestion to add this gear into the game (which would look rad).
