They're almost identical

They're almost identical weapons except in appearance, charge and recipe availability.

FF charge is basically like a fast, strong combo.
BTB charge swings and shoots a handful of stabbers out in an arc in front of you.

FF is white and has a wee glimmer at the tip
BTB is black and red

FF recipes can be purchased at the HoH
BTB requires Basil Farming

FF is very commonly used in LD
BTB is not

Umm...

Which one should I choose?

I thought the first three

I thought the first three words of my post really made my point. The rest of what I said should have furthered that point.

They're exactly the same, minus the charge and appearance. Choose whichever one you want, it makes 90% no difference unless you chargespam, which, with a teethpick, you should never ever be doing.

Flip a coin!

Not need to flip a coin.

Choose flourish because the recipes are cheaper.

I'd use the BTB from my experiences with the Snarble Barb and Flourish. It seems more useful in groups to use Snarble Barb, and monsters are often in groups.

depends on the tightness of the group

It depends on the tightness of the group. If the group is really tight, then a single FF charge can take out the entire group. (I've killed as many as five healthy monsters with a single FF charge.) In looser groups, the FF charge will kill one or two monsters but leave the others unscathed and the user exposed to attack. In general, the BTB charge probably won't kill anything in a group, but it will disrupt the entire group, which is pretty safe for the user.

why don't you get 2* versions

why don't you get 2* versions of them and try out both of them? they are pretty cheap, you can get a flourish cheaper than 1k cr, and you just need to trade your snarbolax tokens for snarb barb.

it is better to try and make your own opinions than asking people when they are cheap enough to try out. (unlike gears that has different 5* paths but the same 2*-4* path(magic line, wolver line, gunner set etc)

Thank you Eclaium

I actually tried both and I sold the snarble and got a swift flourish.
Thx to Bopp for helping me in the charge styles because im actually the sort of person who like to get up close and dirty to the tighter groups and I can easily dispose of loose groups (because a little birdie told me about shield cancelling).

I find the snarble's thorn attack more of an escape-a-corner and I can always just use my Shockburst brandish for that and the flourish already deals awsome KB on the first hit.

Anyways ty to all who posted
