So recently I've been watching the movie "The Odyssey," and at the part where Odysseus goes into the underworld to find the person who knows how to get back to Ithaca, I noticed some familiar things. First of all, with all the fire constantly burning, it reminded my of Shadow Fire as seen in Firestorm Citadel. Also, open spaces between the columns as he was walking down the hall had a moving lava-looking pattern to them that strongly resembled the background that can be seen in Firestorm Citadel. Also, the falling burning rubble in the hallway Odysseus was walking down was much like what you find in the fight with Vanaduke. Also, the underworld was the place of the dead, and Firestorm Citadel was what remains of a destroyed kingdom. Then of course the fact that Game Masters choose names from the Greek gods also supports how it's possible that part of this game has roots in Greek stories.
Question on the origins of Firestorm Citadel

If the cradle is Pandora's Box, perhaps we don't want to open the Core after all!

Still it's only the visual appearance. Lore wise is....

Also visually speaking, we're comparing a movie adaption...
OMG! We are all Grecian sailors stranded inside Pandora's Box!
(Semi-sarcasm, semi-conspiracy theory)
