Hello there! I would just like some tips on how to defeat the royal jelly while traveling alone. How do you deal with the endless armies of minis? How can you hit him with a sword without getting launched? And why are those polyps laughing at me? (Just kidding about the polyps, but still...)
How to bash the royal jelly solo
The vials you want to aim for are fire, curse, and especially poison, as poison stops him from healing.
1 way is to just keep fireburst brandish charge spam from a distance just enough to get the initial heavy hit but not touch the JK's body (It will look like you hitting air). It will also set strong fire on JK. If you are having problems with the minis, don't poison JK. Yes, don't poison JK, let JK soak up all the mini jellies. The brandish charge + fire is enough to overcome the mini healing. Keep the curse vial for the last stage. JK get heavy damaged with curse when spinning around the room.
P.S: I don't care if JK's real name is Royal Jelly. Jelly King is a title, not a name given by players.
when JK spinning around on last phase, he is invincible and can't be damaged whatsoever from shock, fire or curse during invincibility time. If it is, I could really bet JK will die from curse immediately after one spin without you touching him.
The launch occur periodically. You can notice it when you saw jellies near him got repelled instead of being absorbed. That's the sign that you need to contact attack him immediately and move away fast to avoid next launch/repel moves and charge again.
JK will die from 1 combuster charge after spinning around with curse. You can test it if you don't believe it.
You want to go into the fight with three pills and nine good offensive vials such as poison, curse, fire, shock, stun, etc. Keep the Royal Jelly suffering these statuses. In your spare time, hit him with heavy damage such as Fang of Vog charge (probably not in your arsenal), Leviathan charge, Acheron, Gran Faust, Warmaster Rocket Hammer, Umbra Driver, etc. I recommend that you ignore the polyps and mini-jellies.
