you can repeatedly duplicate a level for extra heat, such as level 16 jelly king, or duping a rare monster, like a love pup. for farming purposes.
just use an alt character to stand in place for repeated invite.

Easiest way to solve the problem, although it might be inconvenient at times, is to give each instance that a person joins a unique ID. Make it so that a person cannot join each game more than once per floor. So that would allow a person to change equipment and rejoin a game on the same floor per se, however that person could not rejoin the same game on the same floor multiple times. Just one suggestion.

Farming levels over and over
Farming levels over and over like that is against the rules and could get you banned. (As far as I've seen)
One person told me he got banned for doing this.

If I then join that friend with an alt, wouldnt the level already be complete?

WARNING: Bannable Offense
I believe they may have fixed this, as there was significant trouble with the love puppy exploit a bit ago. Do not post more details about an exploit like this, promoting or explaining an exploit is a bannable offense in the game rules.
I don't mean to be a mod or anything, but I don't want any of my fellow players banned because of providing information :)
Can you explain more about this bug exploit?
