Before I say anything, I'd like to say that I saw another royal jelly solo strategy thread here about a day ago, but the answers there didn't seem to answer my question.

Basically, I'd like to have your thoughts on my strategy against the jelly king , like, how good it is and if you have any suggestions to improve it, and if I should blitz or starve the king (And if you don't know, Blitzing is when you ignore the polyps/jellies and focus on the king, and starving is when you kill the polyps/jellies first and then focus on the king).

My current loadout:

Dusker coat

Dusker helm

Nightblade

Whatever (I really only use my nightblade and bring another weapon with me, mainly to level it up with heat).

My current strategy:

I save up for health, curse, fire and poison vials in the first two levels. Then when I reach the king, I kill the polyps/mini-jellies first and ignore the normal jellies and charge-spam the king with my Nightblade for stage 1 and 2. And when he enters stage 3 (rage-mode), I spam him with my vials and spam him with my nightblade aswell (not the charge). He usually dies after that, but if he survives, I go in hiding and wait for him to cool down and then finish him.

Anything wrong with the strategy? Anything you'd suggest me to change? Please leave some feedback below. Thank you for your time.

You have it all right, just one thing. You start using Vials on the second stage as well. First stage dont bother

Your equipment and vial-planning are perfect. When you get to the fight, I recommend that you attack only the Royal Jelly. Just keep him afflicted with all of those statuses, and use your sword on him.

Killing the polyps is safer

Killing the polyps is safer and ignoring them is faster, basically.

In party play you'll probably always want to ignore the polyps, but in solo play you might want to go the safer route until you know that you can reliably defeat the jelly king without dying.

Polyps regenerate. Blitzing him will be faster and rather less hassle.
Do remember to keep him poisoned, and try to curse him during second stage if possible. Shock and Fire are nice bonus statuses if you can get them, but otherwise focus on damaging him. Also, not getting wobbled.

Fire Weapons

i'm using Firotech Alchemer (the 3* one, can't remember it's name well), and a bomb, i think a Fiery Vaporizer Mk II or something, also 3*, armours helmets and shields are anything that i want to be heated

do my weapons can take RJ down fast enough by doing blitzing? the bomb was mainly for crowd control and damaging RJ after he spins since i can't land a clear shot after he spin around in the last phase, i did manage kill him solo but it took quite sometime, no revives though.

Yeah sure... I mean fire isn't the best status on JK but thats fine. IMO I wouldn't solo JK as it is easier to kill him with a sword than a status bomb and an alchemer

the problem with me is i can't use sword since the delay is too much, so what's the best status bomb for RJ? shock? i've tried poison and it doesn't seem to be reliable

fire does well, mostly for

fiery vaporizer does well, mostly for dmg, and the toxic vaporizer as well , if you want him to stop healing. but from what ive heard theres a bug with the poison vaporizer line.

As for the best status bomb

As for the best status bomb for RJP, I would go with either the toxic vaporizer line, or the fiery vaporizer line. Another thing to consider is the pepperbox line. It's normal damage, but it can inflict fire, and the pepperbox's charge is pretty darn effective against the king jelly, and it is pretty effective in most places as well. Also, try to stock up on poison and curse vials. Try to hit him with a curse vial in his second stage where he spins around and such. It will help a lot.
