I've been playing for a few weeks now (since October P.S I got pretty good in a month) and I was wondering with all these missions and Vanguards who have completed all the missions, have ever fixed the Skylark. Does it have to be EVERY single knight in S.K to fix the Skylark or something? Please reply!
Will the Skylark ever be fixed? (A.K.A Spiral Knights ends)
It seems like investigating the core would be the primary concern of the Spiral Knights: recovering the alpha squad instead of just leaving them on Cradle to be forgotten once the Skylark is up and running.
You must be talking about end game
Technically, mmo most likely never have endings, so no
Say we fix the skylark rigth now, it would be foolish to run away without a deeper understanding of the planet and it's mysteries.
Most likely only a few will leave the planet to report our status and bring reinforcements while we stay and keep exploring.
Also, Alpha Squad is missing. No one's left behind.
" Does it have to be EVERY single knight in S.K to fix the Skylark or something? "
This is silly to ask on any video game.
But it had better be one hell of a cutscene when it happens.
Possibly, however there' no reason that fixing the Skylark should signify the end of SK. Repairing it could simply access a new hub (akin to Haven) for a higher tier or later set of levels. Most MMOs have more than one city to travel to, to meet all the monsters; SK is one of the few that gathers 100% of its players in the one hub, so it wouldn't be out of the ordinary to have another area to go to to meet new challenges.
Whether or not this is in the Devs' plans or not though, I'm not certain. They may have more immediate concerns, such as opening the core, discovering what happened to Alpha Squad, finding out more about the Shadows and Sanctuary etc.
