What is speed running?
Playing through a game reallly really fast. Most runs will be Any% meaning lots of cool glitches and clipping through walls to reach the end
Why?
To help raise money for the victims of hurricane sandy via red cross. There's been a few marathons over the past few years & they always manage to meet their goal for donations
Why should i donate? F the east coast
In addition to it going to a good cause you use your donations to influence the runs and can win prizes Ohh-la-la
There are some pretty cool t-shirts, plushies, perlers, even a couple wacky Plaques being given away. Plus you get the opportunity to name their pokemon Rival Boswick.
What games are being played?
A whole heaping mess of em. Notables being; Pretty much all the Zelda, Mario, & Donkey Kong games + a lot of Mega Man and Indie Games
