A chroma maze? (level idea)

This would be a beast level, where the main enemy is chromalisks (kinda obvious). It would be set in a randomly generated maze, with status variants for each. You would start in a corner and work your way to the other corner fighting cromalisks along the way.

I expect it would be like a hedge maze, with vines everywhere, and your map would be jammed (walls are too tall to get a reading). There would be areas where you press a party button and, if you went the right way, would open a gate in front of you and let you carry on, but if you went the wrong way, would close all exits and you would have to fight a horde of chromalisks.

There would also be traps that are activated by stepping little tiles bulging out of the ground slightly with a faint x on it which would shoot arrows at you, activate spike traps, and opens up a gate with infinite spawning chromas (this would be rarer and with only one spawner). There would be treasure boxes that could be found by walking through a small crack in a wall.

Please leave reviews on how to make it better, I'll edit below this sentence if i think of anything to improve it.

Clarifying things 1: I didn't mean for it to be a hedge maze, but actually stone walls covered in vines, I was just saying that for comparison.
Improvement 1: I believe that the "dead ends with one real way" thing should only happen halfway through the level, so the level would be medium sized.
Fun fact 1: I decided a maze as chromas camouflage themselves to be hard to find, and it's hard to find things in mazes, so yeah.

I skimmed it :)

but the lack of paragraph and spaces scared me back into the RSS thread

okay, me thoughts!

part of a level. not an entire a level. but a PART of it. think more of the monster gate. You can not advance unless you kill all the monsters and the gate opens up.
now, instead of having those monster gates, the game makers can switch a few or just the ones where the Chroma lives with these mazes. Only one way to enter and the exit is further down the line.

um...not to keen on the obstacles. in my mind im thinking about a maze similiar to a Blast Network map with extra perma blocks. and a few "traps" like you mentioned. LoL, give it the look of the temple from the opening scenes of Raiders of the Lost Ark. (arrows and blocks and one huge giant ball is included in the scene)

all in all, your post DOES need some help, editing but im pretty sure you can make this into a good suggestion.

response!

@canine-vladmiri I read your post and I'm kinda confused. I'm guessing you mean like adding a new room to a clockwork tunnel-wild path level in which you have to chase down chromas to progress (that would actually make for a possible coliseum game)? I guess that would kinda make sense as it would give two levels focused on the beast family only wile others only have one, but I'm going to leave it as a level for this, as we need MOAR LEVALS!

You also said to get rid of the obstacles which, reading the rest, i guess you mean the tall walls as there are no actual obstacles, but only traps. (now that I finished this sentence i have no idea what i was going to write after this)

(oh and sorry for there being no paragraphs, I'll try to change that now.)

I don't think this would be

I don't think this would be good as a level. A mission would be better

The maze reminds me of that

The maze reminds me of that mission where all the drones were. Remember that? A maze just doesn't seem "natural". It would have to be changed by something alive. Like the monsters in the clockworks
