Alpha Wolver in FSC?
Not a glitch. I've seen him very often.
It may take a certain sequence of events to trigger it, it's currently unknown... could be random, but Alpha Wolvers can replace the regular Wolvers in that room. I have seen up to 2 Alphas pop up, and heard of somebody having the misfortune of getting 3.

Curious, I wonder what makes it/them spawn then. Is it random? Do they only appear if you did the level in a certain time?
It's probably just random, like many mechanisms in this game. Although much of FSC is scripted, there are a bunch of random spawns in all levels (i.e. soul jelly in FSC, rock jelly from any rock block etc.)
I've gotten a few primal ores from that little battle so I'm not complaining :)

1 alpha is not so rare, once i saw 3 alpha wolwers at once, but i think i lost the screenshots..;(
Most likely rare encounter, like the Stalker in C42.

Alpha Wolvers are seriously common, you must've been unlucky to see only once/never them there. Now, if you want to see something rare....

Did he spawn from a rock instead of a rock jelly?
More importantly, did he drop a 50 crown?
I don't remember what did he drop as it was back in january but yes, spawned from the rock blocks.
Aye, I remember seein' the screeny for that last year. A rare-inside-another-rare is pretty awesome.
Honestly though, I wouldn't have called it rare to not see a Daddy Wolver in that room in FSC; in all the time I've ever done it, I've only ever seen Baby Wolvers. Must be hundreds of runs by now and not seeing any; I wouldn't call that "just uncommon", personally.
Unless, ofc, I have seen them and just not even cared/noticed/paid attention, and have never actually thought about it 'till now (which is a possibility), so I'll just have to make a point of keepin' an eye out, from now on~
I remember people claiming the button at the beggining of the level spawned alphas (before the 'secret' pathway witha ghost block at the end was revelaed, wich now makes the idea of it silly). So yeah it's pretty old.

I'm a victim of such claims from days gone by. When I started I was told that that button spawns the Trojan in the room directly after it, and ever since the ghost block was shown to me I was under the impression that it was just always there (since the button always got pressed anyways) so I had no idea that the two were related.
I only found out literally yesterday (when I tried not pushing the button for a change!) that the trojan always appears... and that the ghost block has to be triggered. S'amazing, some of the things you take with you that never have an opportunity to be proven untrue until you experiment~
Uh... nope. I've only ever seen standard Wolvers in FSC. No idea what he's doing there; perhaps you got a glitch with an Alpha instead of the regular spawn? O.o
