So, I read this, http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/67939
but to be sure, I want to ask again. If I remove an expansion, of the things that were unlocked by it, only the rooms will be removed, the furnitures and features won't, right? So like if I unlocked the second floor, and bought a mist well, and guild storage, then remove the second floor, those will remain, right?

the furnitures go back to

the furnitures go back to your guild treasury, but if the floor you remove have a special service lets say training hall then the training hall will be removed. so in order to keep the special service you need to keep the floor that unlock it

Oh, so Mist Well goes back in

Oh, so Mist Well goes back in the inventory and became unplacable. And I guess the storage disappears from the console.

No i mean only special room

No i mean only special room services. furnitures just return to your guild treasury so you can place them where you like. so if you remove a floor (lets say you remove 4th floor) you will lose the service of trianing hall and vise & punch until you buy again the 4th floor expansion. only services are removed permantly until you buy back the floor were the service its available.

Oh, okay. But I still don't

Oh, okay. But I still don't know then, if the storage is kept or not, but I guess it will, as it's not a special service, and the description also said permanent, so that would make sense.

Heyo can you post your findings if you figure out for sure? I'd like to know as well, if I should upgrade to get the mist well and then downgrade to avoid upkeep, or to obtain storage.

I can confirm that the mist

I can confirm that the mist well stays after downgrading. My guild currently has 1F wing with a mist well we bought earlier.

All furniture once bought is

All furniture once bought is yours to keep, and you can do whatever with it, irregardless of how many floors you have. You just lose the ability to purchase higher-tier furniture when you demolish floors.

Either experiment like Subtleti's people or ask directly

Well, the storage stayed as

Well, the storage stayed as it should have, and it looks like the mist well too. Though we still didn't use it, but it would accept the ce, so it doesn't look inactive.

Ah, that is interesting. I will have to alter my theory: Objects that consume server-side resources such as stored bytes require that upgrade to function. Simple interactable things like beds and chairs do not.
Mist wells will most likely be placeable, but they will not have a menu.

This rule will most likely effect future additions to the guildhall, examples being possibly gates that store what rank they restrict access to, and guild billboards. If you're not paying for your data to be stored on the server, then it won't be. Of course, Three Rings won't just "delete" your stuff (this would cause problems with people who have stored CE in the mist wells, or written long posts on the billboard), just make it inaccessable.
