1. Add Recipes to the list of things you can buy with tokens, or add a new token type that you can buy special recipes with. Not just the weapon, like with Antigua and Sealed Sword and Fang of Vog and stuff, but the recipe for it.

2. Allow boss-drop tokens to be trade-able. Why not? I really don't see why not. Regular tokens drop from crates at random in every dungeon, but boss tokens ONLY drop from boss runs, which are long and repetitive and not everyone enjoys. If someone wants to do boss runs 24/7, let them at least profit from it. And if someone doesn't want to boss run at all, at least give them some way to get the same gear as someone who does.

1. Yes. 2. No.

1. I like trading tokens for (new) recipes, because I like recipes in general. I don't like the idea of players crafting antiguas, sealed swords, and FoVs directly, though.

2. I'll tell you why not. The game ought to have some things you can buy/trade and other things you must win. Currently, tokens and (some of) the items you can trade them for are the only things you must win and boss tokens are the only ones that are based on skill rather than luck of the treasure box.

The boss levels already give plenty of coins and tradable materials. Let's keep a few things just for the folks who actually go out and win them.

I really wouldn't consider

I really wouldn't consider beating the Royal Jelly a "win." It's a pretty hollow victory, defeating a giant jelly cube that is relatively weak, even with all 2* gear, and overall a pretty boring boss.

I don't really think that some of the best weapons in the game deserve to be gotten by beating such a pathetic boss.

But yes, new recipes would be good. There's plenty of suggestions all over the forums for new weapons and gear, just throw one of those into the game as a token-only recipe.

Appropriate difficulty, appropriate rewards.

You're either lying through your teeth about the ease of your experiences with the Royal Jelly, or you're in 2* gear while the rest of your party whacks at it with 4*+ and carries you on their backs.

The RJ is appropriately difficult for the end of Tier 2. He's a challenge in 4* gear, and a bigger challenge in anything less. Furthermore, the gear you win from him may turn into some of the best, but it will cost another 60K in recipes, plus crafting costs, plus trips into Tier 3 to find those recipes and materials in order to improve what you get directly from tokens. Again, I think the reward is appropriate for doing something at the end of Tier 2.

@Icee

You must be joking right? Sure Royal Jelly is hard with 2* gear, and annoying with 3* gear, but My roommate and I literally carried our friend in most 0* gear through royal jelly, with him and I only in 4* gear. He's not hard. He doesn't require strategy. He's a joke of a boss.

The rewards from Royal Jelly are fine, no real need to tweak them (though I would like to see a sealed sword recipe so that getting UV faust and Avenger isn't so boringly slow).

It's about skill. If you

It's about skill. If you charge in like an idiot and miss all your blocks, 5* gear isn't going to save you even against the King. If you know how to time your blocks, shield bump and use vials, JK is probably doable with 2*, not bad with 3*, and an absolute joke with 4*. I also agree with Icee, the Royal Jelly is an appropriate challenge for people at the bottom of T2 wearing a mixture of 3-4* gear who have never fought him before. Of course it's not going to be a challenge for someone like you who has good shield handling skills and 4*+ gear, not to mention dozens of runs' worth of experience fighting him.
@Icee, if you're all wearing 4* gear, didn't get crappy luck-of-the-draw with vials, and have to revive more than once, then at least one person in your party isn't pulling their weight or needs to be told how fighting the king works (i.e. what to do when he turns pink, etc.) Often a case when in a public party with people who have little experience against the king, I know I was that way initially.

i do agree that sealed sword

i do agree that sealed sword is WAY too easy to get atm. ive seen avengers sold for 500ce for cripes sake. i DO like that you cant spam craft it for UVs quite so easily and hence, a good UV on one still commands a ton of value.

also, since EVERYONE is doing jelly runs ATM, i suggest another way to sink these tokens. the market is currently FLOODED with jelly gear and its starting to get annoying how trade chat is spammed with avengers, fausts etc that noone wants anymore (since everyone already has em :/ ). that token only recipe (or maybe armorset?) could be a good idea.

all you really need to beat king is a 4* sword and shield. 3* weps deal way too little dps and you could run out of poison vials before taking him out (ofc, a toxic vap/atom/veiler would solve that problem). id like him to be a little harder to beat thou. possibly add another attack pattern on him? damage/toughness wise he seems to be spot on, but i do agree that he can be quite boring just spinning around and around.

If it's too easy, move on.

If he's boring, you've probably fought him too many times and mastered the tactics, so it's time to challenge yourself with different gear, or move on to the bottom half of tier 3 and Vanaduke. The Jelly King isn't supposed to be the be-all and end-all of SK bosses. He's a tier 2 boss, to be fought before you're quite ready for everything Tier 3 has to throw at you.

I still find the Royal Jelly fun and challenging, but I'm sitting with only 21 tokens and I've not yet redeemed any. I got slaughtered a couple of times, when I had lesser gear and lesser skill, but now I win predictably, if still a bit franticly. (I'm not the best at timing my shield, being a bomber, so it's taken me a while to adjust my tactics toward blocking instead of running.) I finally - FINALLY - found a vile striker recipe from Basil last night so I expect the Royal Jelly to be easier the next time I face him (the toxic vaporizer's poison was too weak to be useful). If the fight becomes so easy that it's no longer fun, as meowreka and Rullerr complain, I'll know that I'm ready to move on deeper into Tier 3 and will start gathering gear for Vanaduke.
