Hey guys, Ive started a forum where people can ask and talk to NICK The Dungeon Master (LEAD DESIGNER) and the GAME MASTERS (GM) themselves specifically.

Anything that they are able to discuss with us we can hopefully and Probably find here. Im sure we have questions that only they may be able to answer.

Not only that, this is a forum where we can tell them how much we appreciate their hard work.
So guys, show em some Love! :)

To the GAME MASTERS:

I'd like to personally thank you Nick, and your team for this awsome creation, called "Spiral Knights." I know you guys
are working hard to make this game an even better experience for all of us who are playing. You know that many of us
are gonna have questions and what not about the next new updates to the game. Were hoping you guys can maybe fill us in
when you can and with all due respect to what you guys can reveal to us. Alot of players, im sure, are wondering whats coming
next for this game, and were all excited. You guys are Awsome and we thank you guys!

I apologize in advance if anyone has made this kind of a forum already or if im doing an illegal post, :P please forgive, but hope its accepted!!

so go ahead guys show these guys your appreaction!! post Away!!

GM isn't just a car company.

The customer support team members for this game and most online games are referred to as "GMs," short for Game Masters. If you encounter one in the game, the knight's name will start with GM (for instance, GM Poseidon).

Nick is a developer, so he's not technically a GM but as lead designer, he's the closest thing we have to a dungeon master.

I believe GM when relating to

I believe GM when relating to online games means Global Moderator. Which is what I meant by my first retort.

Masters of the SK Universe

According to Poseidon, GM = Game Master

"Global Moderator" also makes sense, but I don't think that's the industry standard name for the job.

The common translation for GM

The common translation for GM in any MMO or any type of Online Game is Game Master unless the people in charge go out of their way to change it.

Yeah, the admins for OOO

Yeah, the admins for OOO games have specific designations: Game Master for SK, Ocean Master for PP and Sheriff/Deputy for BH. [And I've seen Ringer used as a catch-all for OOO employees on all three.]
