I simply want to say now I know I may seem like some nobody, someone who just uses the forms, or some thing to over look by some devs of the game or hell, other people of the forum, but I should at least be given a second glance, why? Because i'm a player, a player who cares for the game and wants to do what ever they can to improve the game. I bet I sound like a total fan boy of the game right now, but to be honest, if you use the forums of the game, you your self are wearing that badge of fan of the game just as much as me, so with out any more delay or emphases, I shall start with my current review of the game, I'm not going to sugar code this, or in any way say some thing I don't with all of my feeling honestly feel.

For the sake of keeping this well divided I'm going to break each major sections of this review into separate posts, apologist for technically double posting but it's more to keep things form getting cluttered and if a admin/mod/anyone of power requests I make them all into one post I shall.

These post will go in the fallowing order:
Things I like that are being done~COMPLEAT
Things I hope stop happening~TO DO
Things I feel need improvement but are going in the right direction~TO DO

Things I like that are being done

The world is the first thing that comes to mind.... err, I need to continue on that a bit don't I xD?
What I mean is the feeling of it being large, that it is bigger then you, that things are changing at every moment, that it is growing, and becoming larger then it already is. The thing that helps this feeling the most has to be the fact that the maps, or levels are starting to better emphasis this feeling, adding size to maps, putting in layers of terrain that the player can't even reach for the only reason to add to the feeling of the size of the game.One of this games strongest factors is the ascetics, the graphics not as much, but it has a genuine art style, that helps keep the game unique to the much more common, gray and brown gritty games that are more common. The upgrading of older maps is wonderful, but one thing I'll just add right here as i'm on the subject is, that the "wolver dens" levels have a great name, and good look, but is very lacking on... well dens, what i'm talking about are caves, or some were for the wolvers to be living and sleeping when were not around,as its odd for it to be called "wolver's den" when no such dens are visible any were on the map, I know it doesn't mean much but this game is very environment heavy and just adding this kind of thing would help a bit.

The music, its just great. This Harry Mack guy is a wonderful composer, I don't know if hes the only musician for the game but he is the only one I know of, so to any other composers for this game, you're doing great. The music setts a the feeling very well, and the keeps the flow running smoothly from floor to floor, this some thing some games struggle with.

Want a chicken wing? Jokes.

Want a chicken wing?

Jokes. The reason why the maps aren't multilevelled is because the core programming operates around only one layer. To change this would take a rediculous amount of work. Think about it, all collisions only need to be checked for their x and z variable, y doesn't come into it. You can shoot monsters at higher elevations (and they can shoot down at you in the same way) All objects only need to have their x and z variable stored on the server, the y variable isn't used whatesoever. The only time where elevation comes into play is a graphical effect that causes your player model to rise to the "surface" of the level. Doing an overhaul of this is just huge. To huge to be seen anytime in the near future.

Multilevels would be cool, but I'm scared of what the camera would be like.

@Everyone

I'll never understand why people post just to inform everyone that they did not read anything. It's pointless. While the lack of paragraphs makes his post a bit hard to swallow, it's not a wall of text by any means and it's actually fairly short.

I agree that one of the biggest things that drew me to this game was its "personality". The art style, music, and atmosphere in the game really makes it feel like its own, unique game, and not just another typical MMORPG.

You sound like you're talking to yourself in your post, though. You might want to think about changing the way you say things, because reading it feels a bit awkward.

So are you saying that the dev's should implement "life" into the levels instead of being "bland"? Example ( bland ): walk into grassy area in wolver Den continue walking fight wolvers in another grassy area. Example #2 ( life ) walk into the same wolver Den except this time with added caves and...you know wolvers that are actually SMART. Something like this? I'm intereseted in what the original poster has to say about this.

@Shadowki

Wolvers used to be smart. Wolvers used to be threatening.

Then they all caught the flu and forever lost their ability to track the player. Now they are as threatening as a love puppy.

I remember how I used to HATE

I remember how I used to HATE wolvers. They were absolutely terrifying to me. A little too hard to be sure, but the way they are now is too far in the other direction- much, much too easy.

I stand corrected! It's still the wrong context for that word though :P

If I may ask, when you chose your greek name, how come you chose to be Orpheus' lover who gets bit by a snake and dies (quite suddenly)?
