And then while on PvE runs, full inspect is back on all of a sudden O_O
Why do people hide their loadout in Lockdown?
Lets say you have a Shock Max + Stun Max skolver set.
If a bomber inspects you and you have your full inspect on, He will see that you are immune to Shock and Stun bombs, so he seems obligated to use another bomb.
I dont have resistance to any bomb so I dont care lol.
I really should start just inspecting people before matches on the off-chance....until now I've just been learning the hard way who has what immunities...
Guess I've never really found a point inspecting because it doesnae take much for them to just change their loadout :(
I allow Full Inspect in LD cuz im not gay.
I keep my full inspect on to show my max and vh uv's so that people can make fun of me for being so terrible with such epic setups.
Aye, that's true gumption 'Four-Leaf-Clover-Countenance'!
Perhaps you have what it takes to join my gaggle of gumption-ridden knights below??? =O
So many people call people noobs for using trinkets, UVs, and basically anything that gives the opposing player an advantage=people turns full inspect off...
Actually you tend to find people being abused over things like AA, combos, charges etc; things that "pros" can avoid doing if they want. Things like trinkies are avoided because 90% of said abusers wear them as well.
S'why you never hear "pfft, heart trinket noob"; because they're wearing heart trinkies themselves, invariably.
When it comes to Lockdown, who really needs a reason to abuse? Honestly! There's people being abused for absolutely no reason in that blood bath!
I see rich people with great gear in random LD with their full inspect off, and it's sort of obvious why they turn it off. They want to appear better than they are!
What's even funnier is when the poor, upset guy in Ash Tail asks them what UVs they have and they don't say a word, LOL.
PvE is so people know what equips you're using and what to bring to compliment them (if they're intelligent)
if not, then just to show off.
PvP usually off to hide uv's (e.g. my shock max skolver)
I keep FI on though, double pierce medium isn't much to gawk at anyways
Wel.... How would you feel if someones inspecting what's under your clothes? Yeah..... Thats what I thought.
Haha, Zaderules... That doesn't relate at all.
Showing off in PvE and tactical surprise in LD. For example; they don't want you knowing that their Skolver set has double-max shadow UVs,
I thought Armor UVs weren't hidden. Pretty much everything about your (non-costume) armor set is shown except levels, so I thought?
There are two main reasons I can think of that people hide their gear in lockdown:
- They are hiding weapon UVs and don't want people constantly nagging them about how they "only won because of UV".
- They are hiding weapon UVs and want to seem more skilled.
Other reasons: hiding what weapons/trinkets they might be using for next game. Ex: That kid with the chaos set could be a max damage swordsman, gunner, or bomber, or maybe even a combination. It's more of an important thing when bombs are involved, but at the same time the surprise kinda goes away during the match.
If you've punch rolled em and have inspect off i'm pretty sure those armor uvs don't show up, don't know why but i think that's what i've noticed. Just putting that out there
I have my full inspect off all the time.
1. I don't want to show off my good stuff I have, I get plenty random 'Friend requests' and 'Guild invitations' all day, I don't need more.
2. I don't want beggers on me, this might sound (stupid?) but when I had it on lots of people send random /pms asking for money.
3. Having good stuff means nothing, I want people to see my skills not my hellish UVs, and then they assume I'm a UV noob who rely on gear.
In LD:
1. Obviously you don't want people to see your stuff so they can prepare, such as having shock bomb immunity so bombers may use Stagger instead of VT.
2. Having heart trinks get the flames on you, ppl accuse you as trinket noobs after being killed.
3. I also want to hide my CTR VH Winmillion so ppl would get killed by my charge. (OP!!!)
Showing off in PvE and tactical surprise in LD. For example; they don't want you knowing that their Skolver set has double-max shadow UVs, so you don't know that your GF will do less damage than your DA, or that they're a shockwalker so you don't know not to use your VT, etc etc
