Party leaders need to be more democratic.

Everyone who has played this game to 2* should have by now had problems with the party leader, for example being kicked at boss, AFK leader, general jerks, etc.

It should be possible to have a cycle leader queue vote, which kicks the leader to the bottom of the player list, with the top becoming the new leader. No players can be kicked during the voting process and for 1 minute after, leader can only be manually polled once a round. Voting majority is required to cycle.
Also, if the party leader goes AFK for more than 3 minutes, there should be an automatic cycle leader queue vote, which is different in the fact that it only requires at least half of the votes.
Any votes not performed do not count as anything.
Having a too high voted out to levels played as leader ratio should give a 1 week ban as playing leader.
And no player kicking by the leader till that player has been on for 3 minutes. Random insta-kicks are annoying.

Enjoy the lack of 10-year-old dictators.

Or just make your own party

Or just make your own party and open it to the public....

It's really not that hard to completely avoid people like that ever leading your parties.

I dislike starting from the top or moorcroft. Also, there's a high risk of no joiners.

Well if you want to be lazy

Well if you want to be lazy and skip levels by joining randoms, then you have to deal with random party leaders~

I don't have enough CE to use it on anything but crafting, so if I want to fight a boss, I don't want to wait till I have plenty of mist, start from Moorcroft, and have to play all the way down to the boss using all my mist in the process. But if I join as close to the boss as possible, I could be forced to solo due to an idiot for a party leader.

Why are you seeming to support terrible leaders anyway?

Although Brady may appear

Although Brady may appear rude, his points remain valid.

This has been suggested before, although much more simply. You're more looking to punish people rather than just have your way with the party.

Unfortunately, 'being an idiot' isn't a reportable offense. Which is why you should probably deal with it, because OOO can't/won't do anything about it.

I myself go solo mostly, although when I do leave my party open, it usually gets flooded with idiots.

Main point: Brady is blunt, and may appear rude. However, what he says here is in fact, true.

EDIT: He doesn't support them. He means that if they're such an idiot, why are you even partying with them when it would be so much more fitting for them the struggle it out and ragequit because they don't have help from all their 'noob party members'

democracy? it's MY party

This only fixes AFK leaders. It won't stop random kicks, only delay them for 3 minutes.

"Having a too high voted out to levels played as leader ratio should give a 1 week ban as playing leader."
I could do some levels alone to even the ratio.
Also, leaders can be jerks. So can the rest of the players. A vote and ban system doesnt work for that reason.

Basically, trolls will be trolls and are immune to reason, deal with it.

I don't need to agree with

I don't need to agree with "bad leaders" to think your idea is also bad/pointless/being suggested for the wrong reasons. There is such a thing as being devils advocate; we don't all have to be "on a team".

As for your energy dilemna; it doesn't change thefact that that's a choice in the game. Craft or ele costs. You're not forced to craft every day, so you can easily use your ce on ele costs. Or get an EP. Or just don't run. Or get a friend to do the first couple of floors. Or.......

Look at it this way...

You don't really ever need to be in a party except in a Shadow Lair - and are you really going to party with randoms for a Shadow Lair?

Although, I would note that the vote-kicking system works just fine in WoW.
