Kingjssoftheworld took all the items and stuffs from member's storage and left . When i was questioning him , he got afew of his guildies , Drakcon , Undead-Champion to complain* me and got me banned for 2 days . What can we deal against this kind of abusers?
How to deal with abusers?
Apparently you can report him for reporting you on no grounds. Idk I haven't tried that.
Also, fundamental rule of foruming: No naming and shaming; it's against the ToS and could get you in trouble.
Generally, if someone's giving you trouble, bad trouble, report them.
Most of the time, I concur trivias while recruiting a player. And keep asking them questions and questions to keep them literally interested on joining, and not leaving us with thievery hands.
Try it. (or so, its gonna be into the public awareness)
What Thunderbog said is right, we recruited a player and he took away2.5k ce from our well and left the guild, but we reported him. Ask some questions before you recruit people.
Most of the time if anyone knows what to do and never get bored of this, that'll be a problem.
I suppose we can do a suggestion of a player joined the guild would ---
No! forget that! D:
I didn't say anything! This would cause me pain if I say anything about this! D:
That's what happened between us, but suddenly it died down.
I'll complete it for you : would be allowed to take from mist well/storage with a permission ticket, which is a usable given by officers/GM... Well, I've thought of it, but seems kinda lame :p
That was yer idea.
And... we'll be the first one to blame ye if this happened. :v
I'll make an alt if it ever happens >:)
Don't fall to victim of broken game mechanics? Both guild storage and mist well aren't ready for release. People found ways to abuse these mechanics and it just (unfortunately) backfired on you.
If you hold administrative ranks (Officer or GM) in your guild, don't be surprised that you would end up kicking a few immature people or abusers during your tenure. And some of these people will try to get back at you. Prevention is the best cure. First, recruit the right people (and be prepared to throw away the bad apples). Be very careful about promoting strangers to Veteran rank because they can both invest and spend the guild treasury.
Second, do not use guild storage unless you do not plan to put anything valuable inside or if you do, you are ready to take the risk. Mailing or arm length trading are perfectly acceptable alternatives.
At last, it's better to let someone leaves on his own, than to have you kick him. Why? Because it will be the burden for the abusers to make up his own excuses and you will be the one to poke holes into his explanation. And if he loses his temper, report him (together with a few of your fellow Officer and GM) on violation of ToS and let Three Rings takes out the trash for you.
If you do have to kick someone, be ready to backup your claim just in case this guy setup a trap for you. If you do get banned by Three Rings, prepare your case before rushing into the appeal court. Failure to prepare is the most foolish thing you could have ever done because you now got pincer attack by both the abuser and Three Rings. Read the ToS, make sure you understand you know why you got banned and how you can counter the GM's interpretation of the ToS (with evidence). Evidence is a big deal. That's why you take screenshots when you make big decisions such as kicking someone.
TL ; DR. Don't use guild storage or mist well, or promote strangers to Veteran rank for now. They are magnets for trouble until they get fixed.
Not going to read the thread but I'd like to point out that someone posted a smiliar thing on twitter and the official SK twitter account told them to send a support request, so I'd suggest doing that.
Recruits become members only after 1 week in the guild.
We keep only not-so-valuable materials in Member's Storage.
The one time somone "stole" EVERYTHING out of member's Storage and left the guild, we reported the player, and the Game Administrators took appropriate action agasint the player.
Mist wells are furnitured off so that only Officers and GMs can access them until SK fixes the concept.
Bigboypl stole everything in our guild's vet&member storage (He has been in this guild for a long time and still we don't know why he did that)
So I reported him, didn't try to negotiate, just reported him, several other angry guildies reported him too (especially the one who donated all him mats), and what he got was... perma-ban.
So do that.
You shouldn't be able to get banned for that though... its the guilds fault if they promote you without knowing that you'll be nice. It isn't harassment, and it certainly isn't against the rules. I mean, it is somewhat dickish, but even so.
I think it follows along the line of 'not being excellent'.
Although I suppose it's just a punishment for wrongdoing, like a kid stealing cookies from the cookie jar; NO-ONE ASKED FOR THE COOKIES TO BE IN THE JAR! Y U PUT THEM IN THE JAR FOR KID 2 STEAL?
He didn't do anything wrong (according to rules, not morally), If you pushed him after the incident, he could report you for harassment. Oh, the irony.
Bascially all you can do for now is don't invite randoms to your guild. And bug developers so they create a better system.
