Orangeo was in this game probably before me. I was here in July of the official release.
In his time, he was definitely contributing to the forum more than I was, have.
Think twice before trying to pick a pointless internet fight. Point out stuff if you will, but if you're going to be a bucket about it, keep it to yourself.

Some of you never had the lower prices, or have put up with high CE so long you've just become thoroughly desperate. OOO has lowered your expectations, and lead you to believe that grinding is an accomplishment. When CE is between 5 and 6k crowns, hit me up.

Been in SK since week 1 (full, not beta), when CE prices were, what, 2.5k? 2k?
It's not that CE is overpriced now - it's that CE was underpriced back then.
When I signed up, I immediately started wondering why the hell people would be selling something that costs real money for so cheap.

You cant blame OOO as much for the ce prices as much as you can blame the community, since ya know, thats how the price goes up.
Also Orangeo, if youve been gone, did you hear about when ce was 1mil cr per 100?

It's a mix of the community
It's a mix of the community and OOO really. Crown sinks make crowns more valuable so the price of CE goes down. CE sinks make CE more valuable so the price of CE goes up. It's as simple as that. Just because OOO doesn't set the price doesn't mean they aren't in control of the factors which influence that price. The guild hall update was definitely a step in the right direction, but it looks like more crown sinks will be required to really get CE back to that sweet spot of 5-6k.

I wonder how many Crowns people spent in the Guild update. Also, it seems that weekly upkeep isn't enough of a Crown sink... understandable when rich players have zillions of Crowns in their hands. And they don't think they are enough, 4k petition walls ftw, right?
Crown sinks won't do anything. Ever. OOO just did Guild Hall update and then Nonna, and what for? Momentary respites. Crowns continue "being infinite" and CE "finite". "Supply" will keep being controled and "demand" obliged.

To get ce you HAVE to have crowns (or cash). To get crowns you DONT NEED ce. Crowns are essentially free, just kill stuff.

You're right Garbeld, 2.5k is much too low. I wouldn't buy CE if it was at that price, unless I thought it would go up or there was some secondary reason. However I'd be happy to be between paying and free if the price was at 5 to 6.
No Dizzymoon, I did not hear about that. Thank you for the information, just backs up my last post. You people have seen it so bad you're willing to accept anything slightly better. As if the bulk comunity had any chance at controlling the CE price. OOO ripps off paying players, that supply depot looks like a nice way to trick newbies. Plus there are overpriced things like heat amps, and then there are the krogmo coin boosters that basicaly unsink all of the crowns sunk in PvP. That kick to the groin they payers get decends through them and onto the free ones.
Toksyuryel, I give you x1 "thumbs up". Although just adding in crown sinks isn't the only way to go about it, you could also lower the cost of CE items.
Aumir, you poor misguided soul. If crowns were considered "infinite", nobody would sell CE at all. There "is" a demand for crowns. That's why you can "buy" CE. They aren't as worthless as you're making them sound.
I'm no beliver in petition walls however. Best way for players to slightly lower the price is to set their own and avoid quickbuying. More buyers asking for price means lower price, more sellers asking for price means higher price. If you look at the CE offers, you'll see that more people make offers to sell than to buy.
Batabii, crowns cost time. Some people have lots of time, and not allot of money, so they think like you. Not that theres anything wrong with that, but others have "jobs", causing them to have less time, and more money.
