Is it true that voltedge does more damage then glacius? in the fire storm citidel on slags? i saw people doing 400 with voltedge and 200 with glacius but i don't know if they had buffs or trinkets on . the wiki says it's the same
Is it true that voltedge does more damage then glacius?
i just tested my boltbrand does 250-280 normal and 560-630 charge with each explosion doing around 156 and shock 26
damage depends on how much heat is on your weapon, the depth youre at, and of course any modifiers. im fairly sure they're the same tho, the only bar that lies is the speed bar of the gran faust.
Voltedge, Glacius, and Combuster all do the same basic damage, in regular attacks and charge attacks. As others have pointed out, the actual damage you see out of them may depend on a few factors:
* heat level
* damage bonuses
* depth within the dungeon
* damage from fire ticks, shock ticks, or freeze thawing
* Freezing often causes a monster not to ride the entire Glacius charge attack. Similarly, shock may cause a monster not to ride the entire Voltedge charge attack. In contrast, fire never prevents a monster from riding the entire Combuster charge attack. Consequently, a Combuster charge may hit a monster more times than a Voltedge charge, which may hit more times than a Glacius charge.
Their basic attacks should be the same if they have the same UVs.
Freeze may lock enemies in place, and only damages on its thawing. This means that you may lose some of the damage of the charge since monsters won't always ride the full line of explosions.
Shock locks enemies in place, but less often, and causes elemental damage with its spasms. These spasms hit over a small area around the afflicted creature, so it's possible to rack up large amounts of damage against closely-clustered mobs weak to elemental damage (Slag Walkers are notorious for this in FSC).
So yes, if you're using the charges, getting a higher damage value with a Voltedge is perfectly plausible.
The glacius and voltedge should do the same damage. It depends how your hitting the slags. Is it hit, miss hit, hit, hit, hit, miss miss, hit, etc...
The last attack should be powerful than the others
In theory, both should do the exact same to neutral enemies
their damage should be exactly the same. i'm not sure if freeze or shock as a status does more overall damage, but the ice needs to naturally break in order to deal damage (which i think is 200 damage).
