However ill-advised it may be for me to chat while fighting, I tend to do it sometimes, at least in the lower level areas where I can afford it.
But when I do, my own text spites me by covering up the portion of my screen directly above my character. I don't like that.

As a tip, typing /clear in the chat will clear all chat bubbles. It also deletes the whole chat history, sure, but does that even matter much?
On either case, I talk a lot sometimes and I never find this to trouble me. And yeah usually, you won't even want to talk mid-battle.
This isn't really all that needed.

I don't know of a bunch of people that have this problem.
Let's forget the fact that the bubble could not possibly obstruct enough of the screen to cause any serious problems, and that if you're typing while fighting it's responsible for more of your trouble than the chat bubble itself.
Actually, no, let's dwell on those two points.
