OK so we all know what the shadow lair is right and the sooooo cool armor it gives if one can beat it. BUT is their restrictions to it? For instance i have every material needed as well as the crystal energy and crowns. As well as heat level 10 ash tail. but can i craft snarblax armor if i'm wearing the ash tail? Is it like with haven alch machiens that I can switch the armor I'm wearing to use the armor that I had on through the dungeon (ash tail) and then craft? if not we all may have a serious problem on our hands for not just me. but the other knights that may fall to the same problem. please help me in this en-devour!!
shadow lair and it's crafting of epic armor
At the very, VERY end, after the actual 'shadow lair,' and after getting through the Unknown Passage, you reach The Sanctuary, where the special alchemy machine is that lets you craft the various SL gear. The Sanctuary is like any terminal or sub-town, so yes, you are free to change your gear to craft using something you may have worn while completing the SL. Granted it doesn't make a whole lot of difference, as I think most people would advise you against wearing anything short of a full 5* loadout if it's your first time completing a SL, but so long as you plan well and have a good team you still have a shot.
You can't upgrade an item if you're wearing it! You need to take it off first.
However, you can upgrade as many items as you want at the Sanctuary machine, as long as you have the required materials, crowns, energy and items to be upgraded. So you could make Almirian Crusader armour from a Rabid Snarbolii run, as long as you had all the stuff to craft it.
You only need to bring the materials and the armor to craft your Shadow Lair Gear (and obviously the CE and Cr). you dont need to beat shadow lair using your Ash tail. just it need to be lvl 10. So yeah it just like any other Alchemy Machine, just this one let you craft special armors that you cant find anywhere.
and since its the sanctuary you can swicht weps & armor there. so yeah dont worry.
