Well so far I made some progress on making a cheap set that's able to use all 3 weapon types, so far its pretty safe and I haven't seen flaw.....

The set is made for all situations like getting surrounded in a corner, being chased by monsters or trying to kill some Gun Pups....

The Set:
Cobalt set
Defender line
Calibur line
Pulsar line (its your choice if you want an elemental damage pulsar or normal type)
Fiery Vaporizer

So far each weapon has their own flaw but its backed up by the other weapons....

Experiment! Try it! and give your thoughts about this set...

Eh... To be honest, I think there would be better options.

Off the top of my head...

Armor:
- Cobalt because its free
- Wolver because of the damage boost and is only about 1400 crowns per at the Auction House
- Maybe Magic or Skelly sets

Shields:
- Defender because its free
- Bristling Buckler with Snarby tokens
- Swiftstrike Buckler if you can handle it
- Owlite Shield defends against elemental and is relatively cheap on the Auction House
- Skelly Shield is the same as the Owlite Shield except for Shadow Def

Swords:
- Flourish for pierce and is cheap
- Brandish -> Fireburst/Iceburst for elemental
- Brandish -> Nightblade for shadow
- Maybe Calibur because it's free

Guns:
- Alchemers for Shadow and Elemental
- Pulsar for utility

Bombs:
- Idk, I never used bombs until I reached tier 3 :P

plan based on 5-star; cost; damage types

First, even if you're currently at 2 stars, you should always plan in terms of 5-star items, because that's where everything ends up (unless you stop your items at 3 stars, for Tier-2 Lockdown). You don't want to choose cool low-star items (Spur, Cautery Sword) only to find that they don't lead to good 5-star items. So look at the wiki and the forum, figure out which *5-star* items you want, and then look back in their alchemy paths, to figure out how to get them.

Second, all 5-star items cost nearly the same amount. The main cost in crafting is energy, and that's the same for all. There are slight differences in recipe and materials cost, if you need rare ones. But you should not plan your equipment around that.

Third, if you haven't already, read the wiki page "Damage", to learn about the four damage types, and which ones are inflicted by which monsters, and which ones you should be using on which monsters.

Now, about your specific plans...

If you use any swords, then Azure Guardian (Cobalt) armor is completely outclassed by Skolver/Vog Cub (Wolver) armor. Aegis (Defender) is completely outclassed by Barbarous Thorn Shield. See the armor section of my detailed sword guide.

It is common for new players to think that Azure/Aegis armor is "general purpose", simply because it is the default armor line, that you get from mission rewards. Azure/Aegis is not general purpose. It's piercing armor with no status protections. It's armor for a specific situation, and it's not even very good armor for that situation.

Your weapons are quite reasonable, although Voltaic Tempest is probably more useful than Ash of Agni for beginners, because it's defensive as well as offensive. Still, you might want to check out the "Mixing Weapon Types" section of my sword guide.

Made some changes and thanks

Thanks a lot for your opinions guys so far I found some bugs on my build, I changed some of the weapons....

Calibur replaced by Blast bomb because Calibur is actually used to defense againts mobs and dealing damage
Pulsar on the other hand is used to kill bosses or protect me againts gun pups cause bullets interrupt actions
Fiery Vaporizer is just for damage and taking out most enemies

Also thinking of adding Freezing Vaporizer to the build cause it can be supported with Pulsar....

Bring some more comments guys! :D

Blah blah blah, Tidal Wave!

You're a bit confused with the calibur and blast bomb. They can't replace one another per say, since they're two different weapons. Pulsar isn't really used on bosses but is effective aginst turrets. The freezing vaporizer and pulsar is a combo I never thought about since if your gunning you should be far enough away so the pulsar boolits expand, and keep enemies in a corner for maximum effectivness. And well, the fiery vaporizer is only good for that.

wall of text >.<

the calibur i'd say is a nice investment for a new player, because it can be useful throughout the growing process and though not optimal, its definitely functional. CIV or levi are deployable even in t3 danger missions. i'd recommend you get a elemental brandish later like combuster or glacius (volt edge will take forever to get unless u pvp all the time). it will help FSC go faster and you'll be spending a lot of time there :P

the polaris is probably a better investment. i got a supernova originally and it took me like 8 months to stubbornly give in and get a polaris. now i cant even remember the last time i used supernova - i think it was about a year ago when i ran RRT for the first time. the recipes will be horridly overpriced on AH and it may take many days to find, but overall its more worth the energy used to craft it, imo.

i'd agree with the others that the azure guardian set is a bad investment. some sort of hybrid set of wolver/magic sets would probably be nice and well-rounded without spending all the money for specialized sets. a friend of mine got divine veil/skolver coat for her alt for example, whereas i personally got vog/skolver as my first set.

for shields, owlite provides excellent status resist and skelly provides defense against shadow, which has some of the meaner attacking methods in this game. my first shield was the owlite which i still use to this day, after which i got a crest of almire, which is an OP shield. you may also consider the volcanic plate shield which is the favorite shield of many people i know.

i'd actually recommend against the bombs unless you get some bomber armor. if you really want bombs, try to get at least CTR low UVs. its very affordable and will help a lot. bombs without CTR may just make you bust out the sword and rarely, if ever, use the bomb.

also: if u ever wanna go gunner, all you need are guns and a swiftstrike buckler. the armor sets can boost damage and speed, but this is like the poor man's way to sample the experience first :P

My whole idea

Well really at first my idea for this Cheap set is to increase my Survival and do a lot of damage at the same time so I mixed both bomber and gunner classes so far from all your comments about the set is incredibly helpful so I came up with this....

This is for the 5 star level items

Volcanic Demo line
Aegis
Supernova
AoA
Shivermist Buster

First of all the reason Elpeo that Pulsar is for bosses because its range and gives good damage and it also gives me the chance to damage enemies for afar
The AoA really its just for causing a hell of a lot of damage
The Shivermist is a back-up for AoA cause not all the time you will find a non-fire monster

So this is pretty much the (for real) last phase of my Set (kinda took out the cheap thing tho)

still cheap

It's still cheap. It costs very little more than the cheapest possible 5-star set.

Shivermist and Ash won't work well together, but if you're just equipping one or the other, then they're both good.

Enjoy!

If you're going to replace the calbur with a blast bomb, I'd definitely recommend getting some bomber armour.

Blah blah blah, TIDAL WAVE!

Wait, I thought you were looking for one item from each weapon type, not two bombs and a gun. From what you've posted then yes, the Pulsar line if going to be your highest damage for bosses, it's the only "DPS" weapon to use against the bosses although your reason can be given to all guns because that's there purpose, the pulsar lines aren't the strongest.

AoA will work against not Vanaduck bosses but might take while if your fighting the Roartwins or Snarby since it'll take too much time to arm and set off the bomb, so yeah it's most useful and only useful on Royal Jelly .

Like Bopp said, Shiver and AoA won't work well together and better off replacing one of them with Venom Veiler, costs just as much as any other haze bomb and just as easy to get. Better yet get a Leviathan Blade and it'll be a slightly cheaper decent set.
So IMO a cheaper better set would be
Vocanic Demo
Aegis
Levithan Blade
AoA/Shiver
Supernova/Polaris
Levi Blade knock-back is reduced with Shiver as is the Pulsar line guns but constantly knocking enemies back with either Pulsar line or Leviblade while on fire is pretty fun too.
