Hey, well I just got back from a 10 Month Break, it's been long, College takes time, a lot of it.
So I just got back to playing some Spiral Knights ;) Yay for me.
So I was wondering if there are any new things aside from Ranks and the Guild Halls that are noteworthy for an IQ that is 10 months late?
Like weapon changes or whatnot.
Anything logical would help (:
Anything New?
Well let's see...
Guildhalls got revamped, as well as guilds in general. Price of starting one has gone up by 50k crowns, and can be expanded at the cost of a large upkeep.
Halloween came and went, so you'll still see a variety of knights who look as if someone has trapped them in a barrel of orange juice for the past few months.
Danger Missions are among the Prestige Missions, which cycle between 4 different missions, each of which meant to fill that niche between FSC difficulty and Shadow Lair difficulty.
Shard Bombs got a dramatic overhaul, as well as getting every single damage type. Some say the new shard bombs are great, others are still in love with the old RSS... at least they have 5* versions
LD games last longer and have spectator mode
New starting missions that I personally love, including a new boss, Razwog, for the tutorial. In addition there are new proto armors: a helm that looks like the Cobalt Helm, the Angelic helm without the wings, the Wolver Coat without as much fur and armor, and the very feminine dress. There are starting accessories you can put on your starting armor too, and you can even adjust your height to a degree.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Idk if I went back too far or not.
Thanks, Both actually was enough, I hope? (:
Gotta get back to those awesome stuff.
Just noticed that CE prices skyrocketed XD
CE is at 7,900 right now. Before the guild hall update, it was more like 9,300. So you missed the really high prices.
Oh wow, I bet the smart ones that stocked up on cheap CE are very happy campers.
Oh yah, how rare are the Gold regalia set are right now?

Yes, I think that a lot of us predicted that the price would go down (basic economics), and stockpiled crowns before the update, to spend on CE after the update.

Hmm. I don't know. Check the Auction House, or ask for prices in the Bazaar forum?
The new mechanics are not launching a shard in each direction, rather, they now have a main explosion, which spreads shards around it. About 1-2 blocks away. The shards act like bombs on their own, and will detonate after a while. They are inferior on their own, but good in groups. Lots of people whine because they are now immensely under powered in solo and LD. At least they have a shadow one, a piercing one, and elemental one, and a normal one. Ionized Salt Bomb also got changed with the same mechanics, it's now shadow with slime vhigh, and has a chance to inflict shock starting at 4*.
Dunno how long ago this was, or if you already know this, but brandishes will now have that explosion thingy on their charge each time, based on the * lvl of it (e.g. 3* -> 3 explosions, 5* -> 5 explosions). They are now a viable alternative to DA/GF. Also, LockDown (the PvP mode) is really annoying, with "clones" (People wearing Skolver Set, and with DA, GF, BTB/FF, and Polaris, and 2 penta-heart trinkets (or some variation of this)) dominating everything. It is still unbalanced, with the already overpowered strikers (the drawback was less HP) now having access to HP trinkets, making them completely overpowered.
So, yeah. But the Guild Hall update is nice, there is a mist pool, you put in a minimum of 500ce, and it converts it into x + (20% of x) mist energy, where x is the amount of ce you put in. You can then take out the mist again, but always so you fill up your mist tank. Also, everyone has access to it. Additionally, there are now Guild Hall Doors, which only members of a certain rank can pass. And there are boss statues, and a bunch of other things.
Yeah, hope this helped.
Just read the Announcements forum. It will tell you everything that has happened, much more reliably than any poster here.
Or, if you have some aversion to the Announcements forum, you can read the release notes here instead: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Releases.
