I currently am partaking in the Steam Beta for Linux and was wondering if there were any intentions on adding the native Linux client for Spiral Knights for download with Steam right now so us Beta users could have access to it. I had been playing the linux client for quite some time before and never had problems with it, but then I started to just boot into Windows whenever I wanted to game more often and eventually switched over to a Steam bound account. Sure Spiral Knights and Wine worked okay, but it still wasn't the stable native experience desired. It would be quite a blast as it would be the first real MMO offered in the Beta for us to try out and play with if Spiral Knights added itself to the list of available games.
Steam Linux Beta and Spiral Knights
I wouldn't consider this as needing support so much as being a marketing suggestion since the Linux version already exists but is not yet distributed through Steam like the Windows and Mac versions.

Still waiting for answer.
Especially seeing that Steam for Linux is going Open Beta next week
its easy enough for the team to do it, im pretty sure they are in contact with valve
however, valve might be holding back the game due to its free-to-play nature in the initial beta.
3rings not in the mood to respond might be their usual self, but valve also likes to put up no-comment rules on their steam stuff
I wouldn't say it has anything to do with the free to play nature, seeing that TF2 is their big Source release for Linux and that's been stressed as F2P for the past year or so. Then again, that's probably allowed just because it's an in-house game, and something as popular as free is hard to monitor and control unless it's your own.
