I know there is so much guide out there, but I promise this guide will be helpful for you guys!

F2P GUIDE

If you have no real money and very jealous to P2P'ers then this guide will make you become equal with those P2P.

Tier 1: This is the very first tier you will start as. You have to know that you earn a tiny amount of crown in Tier 1 level. This might take some time, but it will worth it. When you get your equipments (weapon, shield, helm) to 2-star, you might want to replay the Snarbolax stage, or you want to do a full Tier 1 level run. This is the list of equipments that I recommend and will be helpful on your journey in the Clockwork:

Helm: Cobalt Helm
Armor: Cobalt Armor
Shield: Defender
Weapon: Calibur and Blaster/Blast Bomb

Why I recommend it: Because you have to save up on crowns, so just use the free items. This equipment is actually for players that want to do good damage to every type of monster. In this tier, you don't need to focus on 'class' that you gonna use, like sword user (Striker), gun user (Gunner), and bomb user (Bomber). But, if you want to do Lockdown (a PvP mode of SK), I actually recommend the Wolver set, only if you want to do so much LD. If you just want to play LD rarely, only use the recommended equipment.

Tier 2: Congratulations for advancing to the second tier! Just like Tier 1, focus on ranked missions. To tackle the Tier 2 depths, you will need to upgrade all your equipment to 3-star. Try to get every recipe for equipment that you want to upgrade, like Great Defender for Defender, Tempered Calibur for Calibur, etc. Because monsters in this tier is now can inflict status condition, you will need armors that can protect you from a status condition. Because every monster deals a different status condition, you will need a lot of armors for variety of jobs, but thats not neccesary, because that will take a very long time for a F2P. Recommended equipment:

Helm: Solid Cobalt Helm
Armor:Solid Cobalt Armor
Shield: Great Defender
Weapon: Tempered Calibur, Master Blaster/any weapons you got

Why I recommend it: Even if your armor can't protect you from a status condition, it will still be useful because it still protects you from normal damage. Actually, you need a full 4-star to tackle the Tier 2 depths, so you have to stock on crowns and trade it to CE (Crystal Energy), then buy a 4-star recipe.

Note: You can also buy another equipment like the Dusker set or Gunslinger set, etc. If you are a sword user, use Dusker, if a gun user, use Gunslinger, etc.

Tier 3: You made it to the last tier? That's awesome! Only the most active can make it to this tier, or a SK maniac. Because you now can access the deepest depth of the Clockwork, you will also gain a lot of crowns per level! Now, to get crowns, use the old fashioned style (replay ranked missions). In this tier, the monster will be very strong and more aggresive than the other tier, so you now can't rely on the cobalt set. With all crown you got, buy recipes of your choice, trade crown for CE, and start crafting!

It's okay to use the 2-star Cobalt/Defender armor, while you save up crowns to get better armor. I would never advise any player to upgrade these to 3-star, because that is ultimately wasted money. Instead, buy good 3-star equipment of your desired flavor (Dusker, Gunslinger, etc.) from another player (or Auction House), and start working toward a 5-star set that you really want. This advice applies to both F2P and P2P, but it applies more strongly to F2P, where it's more important not to waste your precious resources.

In general, I feel that there is far too much attention given to these free recipes. The main cost in creating a 5-star item is energy. Recipe and material costs, even for rare ones, are quite small in comparison. Don't plan your whole loadout around saving 10,000 crowns out of 165,000.

For P2Pers, I recommend that you buy the cheapest CE pack you can get. Then your account is marked as "paid", and you can start another account, with its own ME stream, on the same computer. Now you're getting 200 ME per day. You can use the extra for playing or just mass-crafting, and transfer the profits back to your main account. If you like, buy a little CE on your second account, and start a third account, so that you have 300 ME per day. You can always have one unpaid account on your computer, and any number of paid accounts.

Thanks for the feedback,

Thanks for the feedback, especially you Bopp! You're actually right, buying upgrade of the cobalt set really waste crowns, but hey, it's the most fastest way to get to 3-star equipment.

I'll update the guide when I have time!

No love for bombs? D:

Also, getting 3* equipment fast is not as good as getting good 3* equipment. Like Bopp said, it's basically just a waste. It's OK using the default free stuff to get to t2, but as soon as you have enough cr to buy some specialized stuff, ditch the cobalt. Another thing: normal damage weapons aren't necessarily bad, but having 2 different typed specialized weapons means neutral damage against 2 types of enemies, and super effective damage against 4 types of enemies.

Decent guide but...

Even you haven't reached T3 yet? It's kind of weird that you're giving advice about reaching T3 as a F2P when in fact you haven't reached that stage in the game yet.

As for the unfilled P2P guide... buy 45k ce and spend it all in the Supply Depot. :D

Thanks for the feedback! For

Thanks for the feedback! For Odin, you are very right about using two different weapon, it will be more effective than only using Cobalt set. I totally agree with you, so I might have to update the guide. Now for Kim, I used to go to a Tier 3 run, and died ALOT. So, I have experience in T3. I actually don't want to make a T3 guide, but because I'm bored and have nothing to do, I let the idea come out from my mind.

I will update the guide, but not now because I was......lazy.
