This is kinda nitpicky, but..
I feel like they are too huge!
They are helpful but just the size of them.. they really clutter up the minimap for how big they are compared to the rest of the map!
The minimap style is so subtle, so I was expecting very minimalist symbols, maybe just a small solid coloured block for a key and gate. Even if they were like a 1/4 of the current size, they would still work, and look much better.
28x28 is definitely excessive considering the size of the minimap itself.
That size should be reserved for a full view of a map (if one was ever required).
EDIT: I'd say this is a more reasonable size for the icons.

After looking a second time, I realise that what really bothers me is the weird way that they don't scale or change when they POIs are out of the immediate area.
@Shoebox: Lul, when I clicked the image link, the "thumbnail" shows it as 150x150 pixels XD
I agree. My biggest peeve is that on big levels with lots of them they can completely hide the markers that show where the other people in your party are.
I thought I would be the only one and that people would crucify me for thinking that the icons are just a little bit too big. Guess not. But yeah I think they're just a little too big.
I agree. I like the implementation Devs, and it's no big deal or anything, but the icons do seem a bit too big for the current state of the Minimap.
Based on your feedback, we've made a change that will scale the icons based on distance and sort player icons to the top. It will be in the next update.

Agreed. An elevator symbol doesn't need to be any larger than an actual elevator.
