Since the Winterfest update I'm lagging so badly.
I always played with 2 bars, but now I'm stuck with 1 bar and the game is unplayable, both PvP and PvE.

It's not graphical lag and my internet is fine. I play other online games and my latency is ok.
I'm the only one having lag issues? D:
This started since the GH update ANNOUNCEMENT for me.
I live in TX, internet connectivity has improved... but SK fails for me.
I'm hoping a new optimization patch comes in, elsewise it's only gonna get worse.
What a coincidence, I live in TX too.
Contrary to this though, I have not noticed any outstanding lag since Winterfest - but, then again - my internet has always been finicky, so maybe it was just less noticeable for me.

No, you aren't the only one having lag issues (I don't have those issues, I'm just saying) but that doesn't mean that it's the game servers fault for your awful connection. Do you seriously expect to have anything but what you have currently to servers that are thousands of miles away from you? There is no magic yet that would allow you to get better than that. If you want to blame someone, blame whoever who is clogging up the stuff between you and the servers. Even if you aren't thousands of miles away, the possibility of something being broken around the middle of between you and the servers is much higher than Amazon EC2 being clogged up (for a record, clogging up Amazon EC2 only happened few times in the history, all this was because of DDoSes [lol]). Like seriously.
Y'know, i used to have problems with random latency spikes, etc. Bought a new PC, and a decent arial for my mobile internet connection. Happiness. No random latency spikes, nothing.
I have 1mb network, 120 minimum ping. I live near the forest, a bit far away from the town.
Plus 2 more PCs being used (sister and mother). Plus toaster motherboard=graphic lag when monsters spawn or do nice attack animations.
No telephone company can provide better network, and there is no more options to put on ''LOW'' in Video Settings.
Tired of seeing videos of people hitting instantly while I have to anticipate almost 2 secconds to attack/avoid get damaged.
-Get rid of those PCs!
-Move to the town or city and buy a better Network! And a new PC!

Now that I notice, I always get 4 Bars usually, but since winterfest update came out, ive been stuck on 3 (Its not a big deal I know, just saying.)
That's fine, but most people are complaining its "the servers fault" or "such and such update's fault". Quite frustrating really, when it turns out their setup is rubbish.
i noticed it as well, it started on the firefight like missions when your in arcade. i thought it was just the amount of pixels on the screen but, even in clock work i lag,
the winter update sure did lag, but it will be gone soon

...I generally end up lagging out of the game at IMF and OCH with all the rockets, although it's been that way for several months. Suspect it's mainly due to graphics issues with my laptop, rather than something wrong with the server - the program simply shuts itself down completely, a few seconds after equipment/drop icons white out. Most of the rest of the game is fine, unless I've been using the laptop for several hours straight.
I've been noticing considerably more latency issues since the Winterfest patch. I'm chalking it down to either a high volume of players logging on for the event or some disastrous optimization failure regarding adding Santa Hats to everything.
I dunno.
