Personally I do full Mercurial for the movement bonus rather than full Skolver + sizzling Hearthstone trinket for Freeze immunity.
Movement bonus lets you hack'n'slash and still keep up with the group. Has it been proven which is better?

Do you lag?
No, then aim for speed (Mercurial set with two freezing trinkets). It doesn't matter how hard they hit if they can't hit you.
Yes, then go for Snarby set with two freezing trinkets and a Deadly Skully Shield.
What about wearing Dread Skelly? Max Freeze resistance + huge shadow resistance...
Same thing as Snarbolax - just without the sword damage buff.

Ice Queen set is best here broskis. It has Max Freeze and Stun resist.
No it isn't, Dread Skelly has more freeze resistance.
Ice Queen set is good for T1 although I found the stun time was the same using Ice Queen + Skolver so I switched to that for the damage bonus. Unless you have stun UVs of course.
Do the Devilites and Greavers in Winterfest levels do shadow damage?
@Eltia: Yes, but only in T2 and T3.
I'm fairly certain the Stalkers always do normal, but will need this confirmed by the next unfortunate victim to get buzzsaw'd.
Oh, my bad, I don't own Snarbolax armor, only Skolver - I assumed it was the same freeze resistance.
Anyway, yeah, now Dread skelly will probably be best for T2. IQ will still be best for T1 - or at least one piece of it (I don't waste my money on vanity SL armor sets - not positive), and probably Dread Skelly for T3 as well. Depends how much you get frozen as opposed to how much damage you need to do between Snarbolax/Dread Skelly.
@Eltia: No T1 enemies do anything except normal. Most T2 enemies do split damage with normal, T3 enemies can do pure damage.

I'd go with Snarby in T3 as it seems everything does moderate freeze which you can't be immune to anyway. T1/T2 do minor though.
I think mecurial is better
Seeing as now, the game update makes T3 a option now(longest time, rare mask drops), all that freeze resistance won't help you in there.
But, I only have skolver, so I'll keep on dashing across ice pits using WRH/3rd hit of FF to save time.
