I think if would be great if Three Rings or a third developer (with three rings permission) make an app for iOS and Android, especifically for the auction house, so player can keep track of their bids, keep bidding and browse new items, what do you think?
Spiral Knights App
i think it would be nice....if i had a phone that does that,
but i have to say
NO!
No mobile devices I know would be able to support such a thing - HOWEVER, you should use Google (Not in-forum search bar cause it sucks) to search up suggestions like this before, because several people had some great ideas on it, and more recently someone was designing a web-page that could be used with a mobile phone to check things on SK when they couldn't play.
It should be like on the 2nd page of the Suggestions somewhere.

"No mobile devices I know would be able to support such a thing"
it would just be text... he's not talking about porting the game to a mobile device or anything.
Oh my mistake.
See what happens when you assume things? You start getting all judgmental and do the whole book-by-cover thing. Shame on me.
Anyway, yes - other games have similar on-site "Markets" for player convenience. As I said though, a player was working on the infrastructure of something like this, but of course can't make it alone without all the data from OOO's servers.

Everythign OOO does is in java. Phones don't like Java.
Sure they could try another language, but while they are at it, instead of a phone app why not a webpage so everyone can acces AH without launching the game. Fair for everyone.
OOO brought this up one time, saying that it is too hard to transfer the game into a moblie app. Another reason why not was the hud and the number of controls, making it too hard for a normal 7" phone to fit everything.
No. But that's because we don't need an app, we just need an API and then we can have a iOS app/Android app/Windows 7 widget/MATE applet/etc. that does whatever we like.
Can someone explain me what is that API thing, i read the post and i like the idea, because sometimes i cant connect to SK but i want to keep an eye on the AH, so it would be very handy
In this case the API would provide a way to interact with the SK servers from outside in a language-/system-/OS-independent manner, allowing for pretty much any front end desired within the limits provided by the API.
Irthan, why does everyone who is programmer-inclined use that Avatar?
You, D0gr0ck...well I suppose you're the only two that I've seen use it.

Someone has a bad case of... bloody no's. Ba-dum kssh!
Anyway, a Spiral Knights app would be cool, but it'd have all sorts of issues. The interface would have to be minuscule just to have a decent vision of the screen, it'd have to be in eye strainer vision just to show the same amount of in-game area, and I can't see how moving with the keyboard while aiming with the mouse could be simulated on a touch screen.
This is a nice thing but…
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Edit: I mean idea
