Some people say that you can get OCH free from the CE in the game. How? Will it mark your account as paid?
Question about OCH
Activating OCH marks the account as paid.
If I buy och and gift it to you, my account wouldn't be marked as paid.
That's how steam works. The actual purchase doesn't count, but the use of it does.
@Juances,
OOO says that "getting gifted", or trading OCH, does not directly make you a paid account. I tried.
I bought OCH with CE, activated OCH, and went to turn on my alternate under the same client. Mist is still combined. But web client and steam client are separated, so I can use my main on steam and alternate on web.
Maybe I didn't understand which account you were talking about but
I believe that if you trade CE for OCH it does make your Steam account
paid but it does not make your SK account paid. Not sure which answer
you were looking for but I hope you have it now :)

My steam account has OCH (bought with CE) and ish not a paid account.
My alternate (web account) does not have OCH or anything, can be played on the web client and is considered a separate computer. If i put my alternate on to the steam client, the mist becomes combined.
How do you trade it for CE using Steam. I hope this isn't too much to ask, but I'm new to Steam and I'm very confused.
1) Add your seller (or they add you) through steam
2) Invite to Trade
3) You can trade CE / OCH through the trade
4) ...
5) Profit!~
One last question: How can you invite a person to trade?
Under the friends' tab, right click a friend and select invite to trade.
You can only trade CE for OCH by using Steam.
Not sure if your account becomes paid just by trading CE for it though.
My best guess is it wouldn't.
