I've been meaning to play LD for the first time, however I have some questions.
-I watched some T1 games and it seems like the players' loadouts don't match the tier...I see people with sealed swords and flourishes in T1 matches, how the hell is that possible? Am I missing something?
-I'd rather go as recon, I don't care if everyone is spamming striker, does anyone have some tips for playing T1 recon?
Spectate always says there are Tier-1 and Tier-2 matches going on and no Tier-3 matches.
But what spectate claims is Tier-1 is actually Tier-2 and what spectate claims is Tier-2 is actually Tier-3.
This has always been true whenever I've used spectate, but perhaps it works correctly when there's an actual Tier-1 match in progress. I wouldn't know.
I've never been able to get joined into a Tier-1 match, I think they are mythical.
If I did get into a Tier-1 match as a recon I would wear fencing jacket and cyclops cap for the attack bonuses, heavy hatchet and super stun gun, a pair of 1* heart trinkets. sneak around capping points, and when you have the chance sneak up on people and whack them with your sword and immediately shield again. use the gun as a distraction or to do damage from the edge when strikers are engaged. try to stay hidden during combat, don't get hit or your cloak breaks. pop out, hit, move in an unexpected direction, repeat... but fighting isn't your main goal, capping points is.
I figured there might be a bug here, every time I chose a t1 match I saw t2 loadouts and t3 loadouts for t2 matches. At least I'm not crazy...
Yea I've been experiencing the same bug.
Anyways Recon is bad if you plan to use a troika line trust me. And Striker is bad if you plan to use bombs and guardian is bad if you are going in pure gunner. BTW check this out it may help you.
1. I don't think ye can do that. Besides, that'll count as abusing. Tier 1 is for tier 1 players with tier 1 gears.
2. That ye should clearly be alone capturing points where nobody would notice where did ye exactly go from. For self defenses against players, usually sidearms helps alot when in distance, but be prepared if ye wildly encounter a striker with a sword, while the player lost it's boost, either shoot them in distance or swipe them in close combat. Takes good skills to use the mark of death as well, if ye know what to do.
I suggest asking some of the good recon players like Seiran, Soral, and some other people who are good as well. Don't be shy if ye wanna learn skills, but be polite as always. :)
