So I was searching up random things in the wiki and noticed it said the electron vortex did not inflict shock. I noticed it said the same thing for the other 2 bombs in it's alchemey path. I went to sullivan to see what level of shock it did inflict to find it did not say it inflicts shock there either.

I know this bomb used to inflict shock, so when did this change? Was it changed in a stealth patch? Or did I miss something in the update notes. If so, could you please direct me to the address of this change?

It's just that the tooltips are missing shock
My GM(echoez) Uses EV very often, and if my storm driver/voltedge doesn't shock, it does quite often

Actually

EV does inflict shock; the description is incorrect - or, rather, the flavour text is correct, but the statistics for the weapon are wrong. (Much like the speed bars for Gran Faust and Divine Avenger look different, but the weapons' speed is actually the same in practice.)

I thought they removed it to balance it with the gravi line?

If the group you're vortexing is big enough, you're pretty much guaranteed to shock every single one of them since it spreads.

Oh, it shocks. It just isn't

Oh, it shocks. It just isn't shown in the description. It shocks pretty often as well. Its hilarious seeing it pull in trojans and the jelly king, and even funnier when it shocks them afterwards.

shock doesn't "spread" on

shock doesn't "spread" on enemies, just the damage, at least from what I've seen.

The Sudaruska line doesn;t mention stun either :s

@Batabii

Try standing next to a shocked player.

I can promise you it spreads.

Spreading shock on monsters

@Zeddy: ...really? I was pretty sure that you just suffered elemental damage if you're next to a shocked player when they spasm. It's mecha knights that spread shock around like it's going out of fashion.

aureate stop spamming

Yeah, With monsters, only the damage itself spreads. Enemies touching shocked enemies get hurt but don't get shocked.

This explains a lot of things.

VT and EV really is a good combination, then.

Processing Thoughts of You Always

I somewhat agree, though I think you'd be better off with Graviton Vortex + voltedge, since they aren't redundant (and strong shock should theoretically be better than weak)

I once thought EV didn't or rumoured to inflict shock.
Actually electrons formed up cooper pairs and went through the lattice while...
Wait NVM.

If you gather a group large enough, consisting of let's say 4+ slags, you're almost guaranteed to shock every single mob trapped in the vortex :)
