dumping physical memory

ok so here is my problem every once and a while in a loading screen it stops loading at around 97% and then my computer blue screens and then restarts. i am using my IBM thinkpad t43 laptop, which meets all the requirements. what is happening? is this a bug or something else?

My initial thought would be a video driver. You'll want to check Lenovo's site for T43 drivers to get them up to date. While there look for other important updates to BIOS etc. too.
Beyond that it could be all sorts of conflicts or even memory issues. Lenovo should have some diagnostic tools as well, that might be good to try to see if there could be memory issues or other hardware.
Then you may want to google "troubleshooting blue screen" to find help for the OS you use.

IBM T43s are pretty awful, I used to replace system boards in them

they have this idiotic setup where the hard drive is PATA (AKA IDE) but there's a converter built into the laptop so that internally it's actually a SATA bus and this can cause ALL SORTS OF PROBLEMS, especially with Linux

in other words you might want to make sure that A) you're using an official IBM/Lenovo-supplied hard drive in that monster and if you are B) try updating the hard drive firmware

that said, I'm also surprised they meet the requirements for SK!
