I seriously can't figure out why you would ever use them. I mean I know it lasts 30 days but still seems...pointless. I personally get heat way too fast without one of those things so I'm not sure why you'd want to use one.

5* can take a while. More so if want to play anythign but FSC and want t upgrade more than one thing at once.

It is kinda unimportant for most of us, but as long as someone buys them, OOO will sell them.

If you're free-to-play, then heat is the last of your worries. You spend so much time grinding for crowns to buy energy, that you end up with easily enough heat. But if you're pay-to-play, then heat is the only thing stopping you from crafting items up to 5-star immediately. So a heat amp may be valuable to you.

In other words, this whole game (except OCH) can be done for free. Payments exist for impatient people, who want to progress rapidly. Heat amps exist for really impatient people.

Why does it keep auto filling this for me?

I...guess but that means that you'd be selling rather a lot of your CE to get crowns for recipe and crafting cost. I mostly was asking since it's part of the "starting pack" and find that a bit strange since I'd personally much prefer the 500 CE it costs. Just doesn't seem like something people would want, which seems weird when trying to support a game on micro transactions.

get them hooked?

Maybe I'm cynical, but giving a heat amp in the starter pack seems like a good way to get people hooked on heat amps. If a player had a tendency toward extreme impatience, it might just encourage them over that line.

I give this thread a bump.

I know this is totally off-topic, but how do I make threads?..

At the top of any forum page, there is a button that says "New Topic".

In general, the game always gives two options to players, minimum:
1) The in-expensive/free and slow method
2) The expensive, but quick method

From the supply depo handing out 5* equipment for stupidly high prices, to the Prestige missions asking for 4* and 5* equipment on a daily basis, there is an easy way and a hard way to do everything. Heating something up is no exception.

@Traevelliath

When you said that I just pictured two people trying to start a fire. The easy way person was using a flame thrower. The hard way person was using two sticks in the middle of a snowstorm.

My brain is a strange thing.
