Outdated Post:

Hello fellow knights!

Earlier today me and some friends were in the Clockworks doing a Jelly King Arcade run. And after completing the run we arrived in the Town of Emberlight. Which is also known as the Town of Gremlin Outcasts. I'm going to have to make this information very vague at the moment considering I'm not entirely sure what my ideas are yet. They're still scattered everywhere. I'll give you a little overview. Generally I was thinking of new content where we would be able to see more of Emberlight as a town. Maybe change the entire depth to make it look a bit better. Also make it larger. And even add in a boss. As it says in the description of Emberlight in the Arcade. The gremlins fear that king Tinkinzar would see fit to wipe them all out. Tinkinzar would be the boss that I'm talking about obviously.

Once again it will have to be very vague for now until I get all my ideas written down on a notepad. But anyway I would love to see feedback on this idea. Even in its early stages.

Updated Post:

Emberlight is a town of gremlin outcasts. Not much of a population until you defeated master Seerus. Most of the remaining gremlins went to Emberlight because they changed their side and decided that they would team up with the Spiral Order to take out Tinkinzar. And live a peaceful life without fear. The Spiral Order agreed to help them so they could unlock more information to The Core. They then recruited knights like you.

^That up there would be the story line. Now here's how you get there. You have to have Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, Tier 1 SL, Tier 2 SL, Tier 3 SL, Tier 1 OCH, Tier 2 OCH, & Tier 3 OCH clearance. OCH would be new multiple clearances that you would have to go through to unlock the final chapter of Spiral Knights. The Tinkinzar DLC. It would only have 1 Tier to pass through. After you beat all 7 depths you would receive information on The Core. The Spiral Order would unlock the core then they found a vast amount of space that was actually controlling the Clockworks itself. They would be able to configure it and make the world peaceful again. Then they would give you special equipment for participating and be so loyal to the Spiral Order. You would then be back in the past able to repeat the mission but unable to receive the reward once again. Don't ask me how you would be back in the past. Or how the equipment came with you in the past. It's just one of those weird game moments.

And that will have to conclude this for now! So as I said before feedback is appreciated. I want to know what you guys think.

Upcoming Post: Mechanics.

For starters, Emberlite is more of a refuge camp than an actual town, hence then run-down-ness.

As for the possible boss stage, that idea is more likely, but Tinkinzar himself? I think not. We still have the whole Crimson Order to get through. Surely Tinkerbell would send one of his Not-quite-overpowered lackeys to deal with his traitorous relatives instead of a personal visit.

In any case, I support the latter, but it's going to need a lot of work.

@Psychodestroyer Tinkerbell? XD
But yeah, would he really come, and risk himself? He'll have seen how powerful from O:CH, and C42, so would he really risk himself?

My personal headcanon is that what we knights see of Emberlight is simply a small portion, and much more of it lies in lower levels. I'm going out on a leg here, but I think that might be the personal canon of a lot of other people, especially fiction writers.

:P Old habit from one of my fanfics: one of my characters called him 'Tinkerbell' as a taunt.

In terms of Danger factor, assuming he's as seerus as he's made out to be, it'd be BECAUSE of the risk we pose that he'd come out himself; why kill of more of his people who probably won't get the job done, when he could come himself and wipe us all off the face of the planet?

Considering he thinks he's strong enough to do that.

But in this case, all they're doing is supposed to be purging some traitors. Simple task; simple enough to warrant getting some other guy to do it.

Not to mention he'd probably not bother to grace our lowly selves with his majestic presence, as is the case with most Totalitarian Slags.

EDIT: I'm a little fuzzy on the definitions of Canon and it's uses, but I believe Tinkinzar is a bit of a 'personal canon' for me, considering my fanfic series (still working on it, lot more to do) portrays Tinkinzar very differently to what you'd think he'd be, while still inkeeping mostly with the rest of the story.

WARNING, SLIGHTLY DEPRESSING POST

I could totally see a Easter egg/event around the train station in Murcroft Manner, were a mysterious midnight train rolls into the station and the player can get on it, or watch as the ghost of every mob the player has ever killed leaving the train.(or just random ghostly reskined mobs)
If they take the train ride probably some thing like a three ghost flash back style were they see the lives of one of the dead mobs before, now, and latter to better show the effect. then again it could just be a silly train ran by some scary skelly armor reskin.

@Psy

OOO's could make this into another DLC. You would only be able to access this DLC by completing Operation Crimson Hammer Tier 1, Tier 2, & Tier 3. Basically OCH would be a clearance itself. After doing OCH a lot of the remaining gremlins would come to Emberlight since say a good bit rebelled on the entire gremlin colony. So generally it wouldn't be a refuge camp anymore but an actual town with a good population of rebels. The knights would join up with the rebels and defeat Tinkinzar because we still have leftover work to do from OCH. Only the entrance to the town would be available to the people who don't have the DLC. The entrance to the rest of it would be locked up.

@Shue

The fiction writers would easily base their story off of the old Emberlight. Also wouldn't you love to see more content?

@Waffle

Thanks. I'm not sure if that's true or not but it will still give me ideas. :)

Tinkizar is mostly viewed as the ultimate boss, the one that knows the most about clockworks and core wich he pseudo-controls now. It should not appear as easily and not as DLC-only either. Too important to miss.

If you want, the boss could be some Lord or Governor that controls the zone around Emberlight or an elite General sent by Tinkizar to retake the zone.
But forget about seeing him in person.

No I don't believe there should be another elite or high ranked gremlin. We already beat master Seerus. On top of that note I'm fairly sure the Spiral Order is fighting him too. Not to mention the other people who pay for content on the game. You don't have to be there when you take him out.

"We already beat master Seerus."

Master Seerus is one of the Crimson Order, Tinkinzar supposedly being their feared overlord. Of course he'd send down one of the other's to do the job instead of coming himself; you didn't just go fight Giovani without kicking the rest of Team Rocket's buckets, nor do you kill Orochimaru without epically beating down the Sound Four (not that they actually managed that...).

OOO wouldn't let in Tinkinzar so soon. There's still the whole Crimson Order to get through, they wouldn't kill all of that content material just to make one cool mission.

But the rest of the Spiral Order is attacking the Crimson Order. You and the gremlins infiltrate the main path to Tinkinzar. ._. I also think that a mini boss would be a nice addition to the DLC too. But what you're talking about sounds like something that would resort to 6* equipment and Tier 4... Which just doesn't sound pleasant to me. It already takes days of gameplay if you don't buy yourself to Tier 3 SL clearance.

Really?

You would think we would face him in the Grand Colony.

Reading it, you seem to infered it wrong...

By wrath of Tinkinzar, you would think that it was more like the armies under his control, or saying when he will decide to destroy it, but would obviously send someone else.

And it would be moew of a killjoy move. not an epic battle to decide who wins.

I think we would find different routes to where he is. The rest of the Spiral Order would take care of the colony.

If you end a story, who's going to keep the book? Obviously they should try and get their material to last for as long as possible.

"We don't want a sudden patch where there's 10* just so we can fight so many more things in Tier 4 and 5."

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what players would want. More content, more stuff.

Tinkinzar would be a cool boss to have, yes. But frankly, there's still a lot of other things to get done. Tinkerbell would not reveal himself so early because he still has a whole army between us and him.

It just doesn't fit for it to be Tinkinzar so early.

Exactly.

Considering that he's a big threat, it doesnt fit to have him so early, at at a place like this.

Why would we fight the other nine if we already met the big honcho.

I updated that comment by the way. Anyway I'll try to take in consideration what you're talking about. I'll just update the entire thread or make a new topic if it really differs that much.

in all things that smell funny

Actually, i really dont like how it is very exclusive.
You need to do complete Shadow Lairs and each OCH. I really dont find it fair for those who just play for fun.

Look.

I mean, adding an epic boss, like a CO member, or a tower defense mission(So many....) may be good.

My idea is there to be missions involved with tier standard arcade levels.

DLC?!

It's a very huge chunk of the story, it would suck like heck if they made it a DLC because SK would turn into a P2W game.

Also you do have to understand that not many people have the option to pay in this game.

Also there's still 8 members if the crimson order left...........

You think that I didn't think this over? Get out. Get out NAOW. lol

But seriously consider the fact that I said that the rest of the Spiral Order would fight them. You don't necessarily understand this thread. It's not to get OOO's to do exactly what I'm suggesting but take out their own chunk and decide what they want to do with it. Anyway this is going to the graveyard. So cya.
