I'm interested in knowing what key bindings you use for:

I've come across quite a few different ways of going about these layouts, just interested if I can learn anything from how other people do it. I'll show mine:

Move fwd: W
Move back: S
Move left: A
Move right: D

Weapon slot 1: Q
Weapon slot 2: E
Weapon slot 3: [Space Bar]
Weapon slot 4: A button on the side of my mouse.

Shield/Defend: Left Mouse

Next Weapon: Not in use

Vials : G10 to G13

Auto-aim toggle : G15 (equivalent to shift positioning)

Having a joystick on the thumb makes a really big difference, there is no more weird finger positioning to be able to move and change weapons/use vials at the same time. Especially when I do alchemer-switching (apparently, some people have trouble changing weapons and moving at the same time).

Put Q and E just in case, not working well, still using space and I'm scrolling up for my previous weapon. Other than that. Space away!

Edit: forgot to mention I often uses the Mouse to play 1 handed. Left click = move, right click = attack and switch from WSAD to mouse often

I wouldn't bother with this game if not for the gamepad support. I use an X-box pad:

Movement: Left stick
Aim: Right stick

Attack: Right trigger
Shield: Left trigger
Auto target (hold to activate): Left bumper

Items 1, 2, 3, 4: Y, B, A, X

Rant about shard bombs: Start
Receive lagspike: Every button, 10% chance

Weapon slots 1, 2, 3, 4: D-pad up, right, down, left
Next weapon: Right bumper
Weapon #1: Click right stick
Weapon #3: Click left stick

That mess in the end there is me trying to get a hang of juggling four different weapons. I've pretty much given up and will stick to two or three slots.

(on the side of the pen, where your index finger would sit)

Super Special Alchemer Swapping Attack: Pen button 2
(the button above pen button 1; this causes the attack, defend, and swap functions to trigger simultaneously)

My fingers are too lazy for other hotkeys, so for everything else I just click or press space a lot.

life is simple.

Also, it's probably already too late for this, but there IS a difference between moving "forward" (in which case, my Right Click is "forward", since it moves in whatever direction my character is facing) and just moving with top-down controls (north/south/east/west). I'm sure most of the WASD players use it for top-down control.
