Preface
The following story does not endorse any specific items in the actual game nor carry a tone of favoritism in the main character(s). It is loosely connected to the mission story line in which I will be using it during progression. Some scenes will be realistic in the sense of physics and how "things" work in the Spiral Knight world. Few human characteristics and logics will be present during the story. Development may be slow due to my odd free time hours.
Enjoy the story.
Prologue
“You are a wonderful listener, young one. I know you will do good in this world of unforgiving.”
The instructor’s voice was pleasant and soft, her tone full of admiration. The disciple lowered his head in respect, eyes closed for a brief moment.
“Thank you, ma’am. I appreciate your words of kindness and wisdom. My fullest gratitude to you, I know lessons with me required much patience…”
The instructor placed her hand under her pupil’s chin, gently rising his eyes to meet hers.
“Do not grief over how difficult it was for you to learn. Rather, you should be happy that you can escape from this Medium. You have a mind that I have conversed with great trials and errors. You have the gift of diverse conformity, and you will use it to your own standards.”
The pupil stared into the instructor’s eyes before sitting down, wondering his gaze all around him. The space was completely white. Void of any other color other than gray, with different shades on their odd, fabric apparel, hands, head, and eyes. The surface he sat on did not have a differentiation with the rest of their surroundings, almost as if the two beings we’re floating in a white nothing. He crossed his legs as his instructor sat down in the same position beside.
“You are ready to leave, my student. Prepare for the world ahead of you, and forever be pure.”
The instructor placed her hand out for the learner to hold.
“Thank you again, teacher. I will not forget what you have taught me.”
He grasped her hand gently, and felt his body become unresponsive. He let whatever was happening takes it’s course and felt a great force flush throughout his torso and expand outward. A cool feel greeted his limbs and head as the buzzing of an unknown object amplified gradually. The white light dissipated into black, and he struggled to see his instructor’s face. His limbs began to respond and he felt around while his sight was completely unable. Whatever he was in, it was spherically shaped, cold, and sturdy with a few unknown items jutting out with different figures. Slowly, he could see a variety of colors and a small yellow hue illuminating behind him. Patiently, he waited for his optical sensors to adjust accordingly to his surroundings before reaching for a large box labeled “Standard Emergency Kit”. In it, he discovered a refined sword with few scratches on the tip and a formidably sized handgun. An exit or entrance was apparent and directly in front of him with no handle. He kicked it multiple times before it fell and stooped out of the pod. A blinding light shone down on his figure, a warm heat emanating from it. The area was rich in vegetation, displaying their prime growth and color. The rugged terrain seemed to smooth out upward into an elongated cliff, trailing off into the distance. He was marveled at the sight of it all, trapped in his own deep thought. A foreign device was vibrating on the right side of his head, and he felt for a second. An aged, masculine voice spoke from the device.
“… come in, Oville, are you there? This is Recon Knight Rhendon.”
He hesitated for a moment. The name Oville sounded familiar and it pained him to try and remember. Is this who he was? He placed two fingers on the tiny machine and thought for words. He spoke reluctantly.
“I’m here… what happened?”
Cuz if yes... I have a spiced up character raring to go.
