It's pretty much immpossible (or very lucky) to do unless the guy is totally immobile, in wich case they deserve it.

@juances

I was waiting for an arena in the arcade when..

Someone joins with a hammer and involuntarily pushes me onto the lift.

Makes you really want to go to the arcade huh XD.

I didn't deserve it, I wanted to get the most for my energy

useful

I just bought OCH for 1.48$ on Steam and my friend went AFK... like... 2 foot away from the button...

We waited like a minute before I realized that I have a Hammer (whatever the name is), left the party, equipped the hammer, got back (have a pass so it's free) and hammer my friend away to the button

I hate people that AFK when they are not on button/elevator because whenever I AFK, I'm always standing on one...

I hate that broken mechanism.

I hate that broken mechanism. Especially when someone find it funny to push me off the pad (because I'm waiting for HIM in the first place). Or because that guy finds funny to push me into the fire or spikes when I'm typing something (generally, when waiting for someone else anyway).

I hope it will get fixed one day. It's a bug, and every bug deserves a fix, after all!

I think...

Save Winterfest unlimited time bug is more urgent than the ability to move AFK people to where ever you want

I don't think it's a bug but a cool initiative. Sure you can trololol to maximum performance with it but it is still... not a bug

Also if you do type slow, people will try to push you into fire. However if you type fast and put yourself in a corner, it will never happen

No way! It's invaluable when you have an idler you want to push onto the party plate/into fire. (Whichever is closest.)

If OCH was sold in a box, I'd put "Comes with a free broom that lets you push idle teamates around!" on the top of the box with a shiny sticker.

I find it useful for playing around with teammates and their corpses, or if absolutely need be, drag their corpse somewhere I need them to be.

But the troll-factor some people seem to find funny by either of getting you killed or forcing you to the lift I don't agree with. When it comes to parties, I'm patient. Evidently, not all hammer uses are.

"I don't think it's a bug but

"I don't think it's a bug but a cool initiative"
You can think what you want, your weapons are not supposed to interact directly with other players (outside of opponents in PvP obviously). Any unintended behavior is, by definition a bug. Some bug can be cool, harmless, downright useful, but at the end of the day it's still a bug.
There is a reason the bug on Flamberge was fixed.

"Also if you do type slow, people will try to push you into fire."
I don't type slow. I type long sentences (as in, several lines long). However fast I am, it's still plenty enough of times to do a charge on me. People shouldn't be able to push me into fire in this game, period.

"However if you type fast and put yourself in a corner, it will never happen"
I shouldn't have to protect myself against a mechanism that shouldn't exist.

As for the utility factor. Well, I guess it can be useful (though I never use it since I didn't use it in several month). But there are already some mechanism that address those problems. If it's still a problem, exploiting a bug certainly isn't the solution. Especially when it comes with a price tag on it.

I think it's great. Although if you don't want to be pushed you can just go into a corner before AFKing (and make sure you're party leader, of course)

I love it. It's really nice

I love it. It's really nice and helps deal with beggars who stand by the lift or people who AFK inconveniently. Also, it's entertaining to mess around with the charge around friends in good fun.

I lean more towards the "Its good" side of things. +1 for broken game mechanics!

So let me get this straight...

There are three types of people:
1. Hammer users who can't get enough of it.
2. Hammer users who realize that, in fact, it's pretty unfair, and hate it.
3. Non-hammer users who hate it.
(Nobody who doesn't have a hammer likes it.)

It is a bug, admittedly. It is a P2P bug. While it can be used to push players who cannot move themselves, either via AFK/DCing, it can also be abused to push players who choose to remain away from point x onto it.
These are given.

So, you could argue that the hammer's charge comes down to opinion, but because it is a bug, it needs fixing, despite my business offers to taxi people onto lifts for other party members, at a fee ofc.

I wasn't here for the Flamberge's FF, but from what I can gather that was fixed before I came here. So I think this one should also be fixed, because it has potential, in the wrong hands, to work against the idea of teamwork.

I can't disagree, but still can to your points.

Of course when it comes to playing online, you will meet virtual characters controlled by others. There will be a point of time when players have to leave their game for just a wee 5 minutes to go to the loo, or to fetch a glass of water, it's inevitable sometimes. In the game, we can't control the other player. Even if we are rushing to finish the game, an afker seems to put in extra time.

Derp : But guise, we can just kick him.

Afker is the party leader / the party leader disagrees to kicking.

Derp : Why not go solo then

A drawback to solo, besides that you don't have people to rely on.

It is not our fault that if a party member/leader chose to afk, sometimes. There is absolutely no way to prevent afks at all, or dc. Hammers broken mechanics prove to be useful.

BUT, agree to the point when you decide to push an afker into an elevator. What if that afker didn't choose to go down. If you do not press any buttons, the game automatically brings you down, as long as you have sufficient energy. Too bad?

How do you do it anyway?

How do you do it anyway? I've tried with my Rocket Hammer but never been able to do it.

You need to be a little behind the guy and charge on him. Takes some time to get it right

You can think what you want, your weapons are not supposed to interact directly with other players

Can anyone confirm that it is in fact... not intended?

Or was it intended? Because it's not a bug if it was made like that....

Lichtenberg (when not intended) can kill you (or even paralyze you), but when intended and directed to acrylic...

you get amazing pattern
http://barkingrabbits.blogspot.ca/2007/11/lichtenberg-figures.html

So I'm still a little anxious on whether this was intended or not... IMO, since it's a DLC, they shouldn't fix it...

And I do type fast, I do type long sentences. Two of my best pals are HUGE trololol who always go with the Hammer and they never have the time to push me in fire... My Guild Master is a slow typer, the time he takes to write "2 sec" is the time it takes me to explain everything in 2 sentences. So that's why I asked if you were a slow typer, it's nothing to be ashamed of. My friends are slow typer but they can fix my car, whatever the problem is... Like I can fix most PC, whatever the problem is

To each his own, but if you do play with trololol, you gotta expect them to troll you... So IDK who's to blame. You know who you are playing with, you choose who you play with...

"You need to be a little behind the guy and charge on him. Takes some time to get it right"

To be specific, you need to charge behind a person, then place yourself so that your fist 'smash-dash' brings your right onto them. The second dash will drag them.
