Hello all i want to tell us my history:

I am writing for my cousin account, I am a honest player, who enjoy play spiral knights, specially LD even with my lags problems, many people knows me. I was banned one time in one past promo for some box problem when u buy energy packs with phone that was not my fault, i was unbanned for that problem with the promise of dont do bug again and i accept that only i was wanted recover my char in that oportunity.

Now in this promo i play hard to get many tokens i can, before scarf actualization i trade my tokens for boxes, some boxes for krogmo koins i have before WF and a lot of tokens i recolect in WF mision.

After the scarf patch i know something of bug no time in WF, i know that bug cuz some people invited me to that party and i play, getting bored of this unlimited game i leave that party recolecting abouth 80-100 tokens.

Me and one of my friend reported that bug using F2 keys. taking no response of that.

Then i continue playing WF misions with a lot of people, i always create my parties without bug recolecting alot of tokens on alot of WF misions i do all days of the promo event, trading like 9 or 12 scarfs and i was playing to recolect another scarf (i had like 1300 tokens)

The most dificult part in this process was that many people was using the bug and was hard find people that wan to play with me without bugs,
i play with many friends u will see in my pics, the most i play was wegawoox, megajx, norezilla, satisfactions, laytin, alphonse, iniesky, and more that i dont remember in this moment.

My char name is kattamoon, well, i was banned since 37 hours, for what?? for having alot of tokens, i mean, play so much sk.

I was in converzations with GM cuz i wan to play with less lag and i want to deslige my character to my no steam account soo this way i can play "normality" LD without much lag.

Well the GM see my petition, they negate cuz i have a ban in my historial and then they see my kattamoon char, they see that i recolected abouth 30k tokens this event since he started (Clotho told me) and i was banned cuz they THINK i use the bug.

Let me tell u guys, i dont use or abuse or any bug i just play alot and many people knows that, the people who i play these WF during all days and all hours of this event over and over.

Let me tell u guys that i know that bug and that bug dosent u allow to get more tokens, u get more tokens playing alot of WF misions.

Now i am waiting for a Chonus response, i have 37 hours banned, lost the posibility to get more tokens before promo ends, i am feel sad, angry, cuz i play without bug, honestly creating my parties, reporting a bug, and telling people do not use that bug cuz u can get a ban.

Aphrodite says in one post forum: We do not ban players who find glitches and report them to us right away. We suspend and ban players who abuse glitches. The more egregious the abuse, the more serious the punishment.

FYI, because I see confusion about this a lot:
Bug Reports collect game date for us and the developers to review, typically looking for errors or problems. You won't typically receive feedback when you submit a bug report.
A support request is a way to contact a Game Master directly to discuss an issue or report a problem.

I have some questions for Aphrodite:

1.- Soo, how can be being banned if i report that bug?? (with no response the GM where in holidays)
2.- how i can be banned if i dont use-abuse of that bug?
3.-I can be banned for play so much? only for have alot of tokens?

Here are some picks i take, i like to take pics and record movies, soo i take some record picks and things i think where important.
I sensored the names in the pics cuz here is my case and i dont want to get any player involucraded for my fault, i think it is the job of the GM ban the RIGHT PLAYERS.

4.- T3 was to hard for colect tokens i play T3 when i was looking for the haunting hat like all guys, the mostly tiers before the patch actualization was T2

in this fase i dont take more pics cuz i was tired of do that mision again and again but i still was playing all i can.

In all this event i dont play LD, PVE, only i play some SL that kingblazing invited me. all day i was playing the WF mision without bug.

Now this is the tink i was to encourage for the bugs faults (i sensored the pics cuz i dont get another player banned for my fault, i think it is GM jobs banned the RIGTH PLAYERS:

I enter in a bug mision without knows that was a bug mision before invitation, soo i decided to play until i recolect 80 tokens that are the normality without bug to not lose my 10ce i have wasted for come there. In total I play like 2 bug misions for enter on a party with bugs that i dont know it, I play in them for dont lose my CE, and i get boring of that then i leave.

2.- the 99,9% of my WF misions that i play, i created all, and all without bug.

3.- In this oportunity some guy was telling me how to do the bug and if i could done for him, and i says i dont want to do that, he responde me that i was too honest.

4.- In this ocation some people who i send an invitation aske if is it bugged or not, i say it is not, then he dont want to come to play and decided go to LD. there was the most hard moment i have to face, cuz they where a few persons, my best friend that want to play with me
without bugs since NOBODY want to play with me in normal WF.

6.- The ban day i was recibed a response for the GM hey dont let me change my char from my steam acount to my non steam acount for having a ban historial before.

7.- Adding to all that, i was banned cuz they look my kattamoon char and they find i get to many tokens and they THINK i use the bug to get them.

I want my accounts, my char kattamoon the soon of posible, i want some reward for being banned wrong way, i want to change my char kattamoon from my steam acount to my non steam account. and i want this FAST. cuz i am inocent and honest player. i am waiting sice 37 hours for a response of this fail ban with no response. the WF promo ended now i lose that time to get more token.

I think if they other Gms are really on holiday then Aprhodite is one of the only Gms there, if not the only one, she/he has responded to a lot of the problems regarding Winterfest bugs, etc. Anyhow I got banned for:

"Your account has been temporarily banned for a Terms of Service violation. We have evidence you were abusing a game mechanic to create a Winterfest mission without a timer. Abusing bugs like this is strictly against the Terms of Service. The appropriate action is to use F2 or /bug to report the issue and then refrain from abusing the situation."( I got this from the support mail that I received.)

Okay so first off, I never made a glitched party nor did I know how to until the latest party before my ban, which the party leader there told all the players there. After doing the glitch the leader left because they had to doing something in real life. After being the party leader for a few minutes I had to go and change weapons so I could be better suited for the run. Once I got back and played for a while everyone, but one player got booted. One of them just didn't get anything at all and stayed there. While I, on the other hand got temp banned for, "We have evidence you were abusing a game mechanic to create a Winterfest mission without a timer". I didn't make a party, but I did play on it. Why weren't the other players banned? Are they only banning players who have made a glitched party? If so they still have the wrong person.

Now in your case. As far as their logic goes as long as you don't make the party; well as long as you don't stay in the party too long(?) you won't nor should get a ban. Unless they randomly changed how their banning system changed for the Winterfest glitch you shouldn't have been banned.

Edit: It seems that they did a token count(?) at "x" time to check which players have "y" number of tokens. The party leader who made the party had 3000+, but spent it on a scarf and something else. It seems that he spent them before this check as they got no ban, this person also played on the glitched Winterfest mission a lot. I don't find it fair how they're banning people randomly. There was another topic like this, but was closed by Aprhodite.

Edit(2): "Impostoclaus has decided to remain in Haven a bit longer than scheduled, so the Save Winterfest! mission is still available. Please note any Winter Wish tokens you earn today will expire when you log off (so spend them right away!)." -Aprhodite
I'm not sure if this is going to affect your current situation, but something that I found related to this case.

If you don't have elvator passes, you can run out of energy by taking elevator again and again. Bug lets you stay forever.
Also with that bug, you skip loading times -->more time collecting, less waiting.

No, i dont thinks they are looking for the most tokens players, just i am in talking with the GM for my trasnlate characters and they look my kattamoon account and see how many tokens i have get in the promo they says to me i have get like 30k tokens and that was too much, soo they think i use the bug and banned me, i currently have 1300 tokens, like 9 scarf and many frosty items, all get it without bug.

Actually as a person who has played on a glitched Winterfest party, most of the time you get less tokens compared to the non-glitched party, if not the same amount. Most of the time you should have a person "keeping guard" of Impostoclause. As the green gremlins will spawn forever if in a everlasting Winterfest party. With more time it increases the possibility of double spawns, triple spawns, etc. The mission is only never ending if he is kept alive.

I did the WF bug sometimes with my guild and when i invited Katta she didnt want to join because she hate bugs.

To your first edit : They can check your server data log for every play session. If they find any discrepancies in the data, they can use it as a reason to ban you.

To your second edit : That has nothing to do with this thread. It is there because the winterfest mission still exists, but your tokens would have expired.

There are not diferences.

U can get alot of tokens on bouth, but i dont think that some guy who do The WF bug could colllect so much tokens as me, cuz i think that doing the bug mision all day.. there has to be extremely boring comparated to what i do: create one WF mision, play it, go to haven, talk people do some business, create another mision invite some friends play mision, go haven, talk to more people, do more business, create another WF and play i have doing that during all days of the promo soo for that i get alot of tokens.

I said "if" they find any discrepancies. I don't think they can tell how long you spent in it, because they expect the timer to function proper. The only discrepancies they can pick up are the amount of tokens and etc. That's why some players might have gotten banned, and others not.

I only got to the Winterfest glitch by playing with the person of whom I still not state. This person used this glitch and achieved a lot more tokens then I have, yet they got no ban related to the case. Unless, you can't have two bans at once, since this person got a ban for swearing. If that is the case that is a flaw in their system.

Let me explain the concept of this server data log.

The server data log acts as similar to as a chat feed at the bottom left hand corner of your screen.

Examples of log entries :
Your friend xxx has logged on.
xxx : (note this is used for bans towards scammers and people who swear)
xxx received item (name).

There are possible other data entries such as earning how much crowns and etc. but who knows.

They keep everyone's data logs as compact as possible, probable deletion within 7 days or so.

Using this data log, they can track how much tokens your "banned" party leader achieved. They can even track who was in the same party as he is. This would probably have led to your ban.

80 tokens, really?

They banned you for 80 tokens? I can understand someone getting banned for farming 8000 tokens, but 80? And then you reported the bug and left, you may as well have had a timer for that one! What's the average payout for T3, 70? 75? So the guy got, what, 5 extra tokens for your mist? Oh, the horror. I admit it may not have been wise to continue with the mission considering the timer wasn't there, but then leaving it with nothing would have cheated the guy out of the 10 Mist he spent going in there.

Going about a reign of terror, banning people at random for getting ~5 extra tokens, with evidence that is proven false, for the WF exploit... while allowing and practically ENDORSING the Sun Shards UV ticket exploit which many people went out and admitted... is not a very smart decision. Both were accidents (the former due to a kink in YOUR programming and the latter due to YOUR faulty policy) and, while the latter was completely ignored, the former is blown way out of proportion.

Even if the guy's been "banned" before for a problem WITH YOUR OWN FREAKING BILLING SYSTEM, being banned again for 80 tokens- when this could have, in all likelihood, been about equal to or even LESS than he would have earned in the usual timed run? That's not just, it's petty! That's like suing someone over a paper cut, or having a man beheaded for jaywalking! Make the punishment fit the crime, OOO; if you are absolutely certain you want to punish him, take the 80 tokens away and give him a warning.

This is, from the average player's viewpoint, an utterly stupid decision on Three Rings's part. I'd like to hear a counter-argument defending Three Rings's position, from an admin if at all possible; I want to see their side. Then it can properly be determined whether said counter-argument is actually a wise decision or just another asinine "Boo hoo it's not bomb like" tangent.

The ban was cuz they see how much token i win in all winterfest mision, i dont know if u are talking abouth me but i repeat i dont use or abuse the bug i only play like 2 times with that bug cuz some guy invites me and i get boring of play like that and i leave then i reported that bug. the 99,9% of my runs was without bug and all that WF misions was created by me.

Hey wuzza, it's me... Still no ban and will probably never get one.

So let me get this straight, you got banned because you earned 30k token since the start and did not actually use the bug?

And to everyone here reading

Unlimited time takes more time to gather tokens than a timed one.

Why you ask? Let me tell you why:

In an unlimited time a lot of people come and go, you are not always a party of 4 and it takes a long time to simply get 100 tokens. People go AFK left and right (I mean there's no time, no stress, go take a beer, etc.) While in a timed game, you make yourself a good party, grind to your 100 tokens the first week (before scarf update and time adjustment).

And if you have a pass... lol. Unlimited or not, having a pass change the exploit to a simple and mere innocent bug.

I have wandered around with 2.5k tokens on me and got nothing, but then again, I wasn't actively getting help from GMs...

Which is a bit odd and strange that the GM tries to help you then find out you "exploited" a bug... "Nope (f word) that (b word), he exploited. You deserve a ban"

I mean lol

But you gotta admit... 30k token is a bit... well... I got 15k-16k tokens and got bored to death and stopped farming Winter Wishes 1 week ago... so yeah being a GM and watching people gather 30k tokens. I would have suspicion too...

Edit: And on 30k tokens you have like 10-12 games who you took picture, it's not a proof on his own... 30k tokens = 300 X 100 tokens. So it's a minimum of 300 "optimal timed game" if not... 30,000/60 = 500 to gather 30k tokens

So if 30k = 100% and you gaved us roughly 15 games proof... you have given us a whopping 5% of the game you've made

People get temp ban for farming a little too much tokens. People get perma ban for abusing the glitch. 30k tokens... you know the glitch... 1+1=2

Taking advantage of this exploit is a violation of the terms of service and it will result in a suspension or permanent ban.

Her 2nd reply began with this

Yeah i have to admit that 30k tokens it is so much xD, but it is only cuz i play WF misions since 9:00 AM to 2:00 AM and nothing more than that during all promo days I left vana runs, I left LD games and and I left social life too. But i dont think they can banned me for play sk to much? i think they have to reward me someway for play so much his game not banned me.

Playing SK too much? No you shouldn't get banned if you play legit.

However, each time I see a Thread like this. It reminds me of myself when I was a kid and used a hack on D2 and got banned and claimed to be innocent. If you are truly innocent. Support Request.

sooo,, if u are in haven, a party invites u to play a WF mision, u go and that as bug mision, they can ban u?, actually for u kwoling, razon for ban is exploding a bug i never do that and yea maybe the 0,5% of my tokens where get it in a WF bugued, but 99,5% of they were get it without any bug.

However, each time I see a Thread like this. It reminds me of myself when I was a kid and used a hack on D2 and got banned and claimed to be innocent. If you are truly innocent. If you had invested that time into the Wiki or actually helping them. Giving them full detail about the bug (like I did, have you?)

Maybe you will get a reward. A tiny, ridicule, artifact that has no special power.

Grinding a game should not be rewarded. It's only time consuming, it's not helping anyone and you are not doing something awesome too.

I mean... I should get a reward on all my games I guess, over 1000 hours on SK, 1200 hours on SSBM, 10k+ hours on Diablo II

Yeah I should get a medal for wasting so much time of my life

I don't think you should get a reward for playing a lot one game.

I may be harsh, but that's the truth.

If that would be the case then everyone would be whining to have that artifcat. And I'm pretty sure the admins have better things to do then hand out useless artifact to all the player who reached "Insert X number here" hours. So much time consuming, so much baby-sitting, so much monitoring of people game time.

Waste of productivity and frankly, Useless
