I read a thread that said that in the beta trailer, the Carver could freeze enemies. I think that the freeze should be brought back. The 4* and 5* shouldn't have their damage changed but should have a slight chance of causing either moderate or strong freeze. When the enemies are frozen with the freezing troika line, the enemies don't attack right away which gives you time to back away. The same thing should be applies for the Carver and Vanquisher.
This is just an idea, please suggest ideas to make it work.
Although I find Normal weapons in need of a buff, I don't think adding Freeze to the CI series would be very good.
The one thing that places the Calibur lines above Brandishes is it's widespread knockback. Considering not many people care for it, that is disregarded.
However, adding freeze would instantly negate that knockback. Let one rip while you're surrounded, and you're pretty much screwed.
