Something wierd about the lumber......

Once a upon a time while I was doing RJP, a lumber walked up behind me while I was fighting a bunch of jellies. When I killed the jellies I saw the lumber about to strike. I pulled up my sheild (which was full health) hoping it would not break. Well it didn't break but I took damage

Wats happening here?
