I'm a 4* hybrid knight looking to get full 5* in order to advance in missions, but I realized that it may be a looooong time before I will have full 5*
The crafting cost for 5* armor, shield, and helm is 75,000 cr (recipe cost) + ~147,000 cr (2,100 ce) + 15,000 cr (crafting cost), which adds up to 227,000 cr.
At this point (as I don't have access to vana, and I am completely broke), it will take me approximately 3 weeks to farm 200k cr by doing 5 runs of JK daily (which is highly unlikely). Are my calculations incorrect, is there an alternative, or is it just time to grind for a month?

You can sell token stuff and some materials (jellies drop green shards)
That should reduce farming to 3.5 runs per day.

But you can also use the arcade or ask a friend to invite you to FSC. You're 4*, it shouldnt be a big deal.

depends on how much playing time you have

Doing the first two levels of RJP five times costs you 100 energy and earns you about 11,000 crowns (plus materials, etc.). Use about 7,000 of those crowns to buy 100 CE, and repeat. You're in a positive feedback loop, and you can do it as many times as you like, earning 4,000 crowns per five trips. There is no limit to the number of times you can run it in a day, other than your time and endurance.

I personally would do Tier 2 Arcade Runs. They'll give about 100 CE per run, 80 energy per run at most (less if you join a party at a lower depth). Learn to read gate maps, aim for Arenas and Boss Stratas. In my experience, Arena + Boss Strata is about 5k+ crowns right there, plus tokens. Stop by Basil and pick up some 3* recipes for boss items. Things like Twisted Targes, Twisted Snarble Barbs, Kilowatt Pulsars, and Toxic Catalyzers will sell for about 8k to 15k crowns (despite costing 4k at Basil).

If you're feeling gutsy, nothing stops a 4* knight from taking the Arcade to Firestorm Citadel. Go down to D21, invite some buddies so they'll have access to the recipes when you get to D23, crusade through FSC, and walk away with plentiful crowns in your pocket. Buy and sell some recipes, and you can even add another couple thousand per run. Regardless of tier, don't be hesitant to enter Danger Rooms, especially if you're a 4* knight in Tier 2 (Don't try to solo the Tier 3 ones).

Admittedly, my biggest suggestion would be to spend $20 for the Starter pack, or $25 for the Battle pack, or $40 for the Guardian Armor Pack. The Starter pack gives you a nice 7500 CE, The Battle pack gives you a VERY nice 9800 CE, while the Guardian Armor Pack has the INCREDIBLE elevator pass (As well as the Silver Keys which can be turned into crowns real easy, and the Guardian Armors which I think look awesome).

My friends list still has several skeletons of what were once great players who grew tired of the grind between 3*, 4*, and 5* equipment. Arcade runs are less dull in terms of the grind, due to the variety of levels (You'll also get a larger variety of skills against a larger variety of enemies).

..

if you could figure out how to make out profit from jelly gems, you should just go kill the jelly king.

Processing Thoughts of You Always

Assorted ideas that have merit:

  • Doing RJP runs. The tokens can be converted into 3* equipment which can be vendored for 3.5k cr, in addition to whatever drops you got during the rest of the run (2k or thereabouts). The Brute Jelly pieces are 15 tokens each, which is about 5 complete runs. You can theoretically sell unbound Sealed Swords and Antiguas, but I'm not sure whether there's still a market for these, and it may not be as profitable since they a) take 5 more tokens (2 more runs) to acquire and b) require a 600 energy unbinding fee to be paid first.
  • Doing IMF runs. The leadup to the boss is slightly more cerebral than just whacking away at things, but it's likely you've had some experience in what to do to make the run go smoothly as a 4* player. The payout for the pre-boss levels have been tweaked to be in line with RJP as of several months ago. The 15-token weapons are all 2* items, which is good, since the unbinding fee is only 200 energy (100 mist and 100 ce if you use a full tank), and Pulsars sell reasonably well on the market, which can make you a margin of 200 CE or thereabouts. The other option, the Quicksilver set, is not worthwhile for selling on, since a) they're not popular pieces for players to buy and b) they're the same value as the Brute Jelly, but take more runs to get. Might be problematic if you have lag issues.
  • Doing FSC runs. The five levels will net you roughly 8k cr as well as the boss tokens, which, if you collect 30 of them (10 runs or thereabouts), will amount to a 5* armour that is pants in practice but can be vendored for a nice 30k. The other 30-token alternative is the 4* Blackened Crest, which upgrades into a great shield; I don't think it would be worth your effort to pay the 1.6k energy unbinding fee, though. Last but not least is the FoV for 40 tokens, which is a really cool 5* sword that is great for pyromaniacs and people who just want to share the love (by which I mean 'set everything including yourself on fire'). Again, I doubt that this is worth a 4k energy unbinding fee, and if you're going straight for the crowns it would be more profitable to just flog off Ancient Plate Bits. Please note that you will be wanting fire resistance in FSC, as well as elemental weapons. A needle and/or Shivermist will also make you rather more popular in parties.
  • Repeating certain other missions may be worth your consideration. For starters, there's a beast-themed mission that ends in a lot of assorted Chromas, which may drop valuable Drake Scales and Chroma Tears. This is less profitable than the boss parties, but less hassle if you're short of time, and should be run solo for best effect.
  • It's also worth mentioning the Clockworks in general, where Basil may be found selling recipes at the Terminals. 3* and 5* boss recipes sell reasonably well, particularly 'mainstream' equipments such as the Barbarous Thorn Shield and Blade, Polaris, Divine Avenger, Gran Faust and Argent Peacemaker. These can net you a tidy profit if you resell them, although it's worth noting that not all recipes are easy to sell, and that you should have a sum of cash before you start the run so that you've got enough to buy stuff. In particular, try to aim for Arena and Graveyard-rich gates in between, since these are both relatively profitable levels if you can complete them. Another reasonable alternative would be Beast stratums, since the materials sell relatively well.

Alternatively you could just cheat and buy one of the assorted packs that contain energy.
(I'm just assuming you're going F2P with the above options.)
