I never shared my iphones connection before but using it now im curious, if my iphone loses it's 3G connection will I disconnect? I remember you have to enable a 3G connection + wifi but not really sure.

Wifi is just.....wifi - connection of devices without wires.
To enter the internet you'll need to activate 3G or find a network to connect to.
