Mhmm, after looking at the announcements, OOO has come up with a excellent idea for pets. Pets are a good thing to the game, but not enough details were provided. Now people request to open the core? No details? I can come up with details for the core, but the rest must be by you.

So the core.... You have reached the core. There are knights, lag and the core. Now what are you going to do? Suggest the idea. Here, I will help you make the idea of the core. Please provide the details.

Opening the core, what is inside it?
Will their be monsters?
Do you pay to get in?
How to access it?
Do you get free mist since it's the energy resource?
Details of how it will look like?
Will it actually be a level?
Depth 30 - 31?
Laggy?
Do you get a reward?
Is it going to be a new achievement for reaching it?
New mission for it?
If so, what's the name?
Will it be a bonus one?

On more serious topics, once the core is opened the game will have no more big storyline events to keep the older players interested so expect a while before it is opened.

After we reach the core and get it's energy, we enter our starship. But, some monsters from clockworks will invade, specially gremlins - there may be another adventure ! ( yeah I'm kinda tired of Cradle...).

Rather see a bit more on the Crimson Order. I mean you got 8 big honchos to work with, 9 if you assume Seerus is alive (Never found his body), and 10 if you include Tinkinzar himself. Not to mention, if Herex could make Toxoils, there could be quite a plethora of bizarre experiments of theirs. Maulos's origin is never explained, and I wouldn't mind a few more archfiends like him. Ghosts in the Machine imply that there probably were others who've crashed on the Cradle before us. Almire is proof that there were other civilizations too that could be explored. There could be more clashes with the swarm, even involving Gremlins as a third party.

What I'm trying to say is that there are more entertaining things to make than the inside of the core, which will essentially be the end of the game.

So i suggest that if the core is opendend king tinkinzar the architect
(waaay to long story) would be the new boss.
Thats opinion 1. But my second opinion, if you search the forums or nicks twitter you'll get a link to a website with a pic of a new monster
( kat line) that can be a new boss and nick did mention that there will be some new kat armor. I don't know if Nick is trolling or not so... This is all i know

The Core does get opened, but the knights get so used to Cradle that they stay there, and it's just loads of nameless NPC knights who board the Skylark.

Nope Nope Nope

As Traevelliath said, there is no need to open the Core for new content. Actually that would kill the purpose of the game and fasten it is death date. We still didn't discover the another 8 leaders of the Crimson Order, neither King Tinkinzar. There can me more missions related to the Kingdom of Almire, looking that we only know a bit about it, plus that we don't know who was the reason behind its fall. Like in Ghosts in the Machine proves that there is some previous beings that lived on Cradle before others. Maybe something like Forerunners in Halo
Series ?

But opening the core ? Please no more silly suggestions about that. If we reached the Energy Core, that means we can activate the Skylark again, and if we activate it, the game is done for good. I may accept that idea in one case....if you find a new place to land on using the Skylark, like a new planet or whatsoever, I may think about it.

More than just going back

I read most of the comments here and many say that once the core is opened, it's the end and we go back home. What I say is that should they open the core, they get the energy board the Skylark and all that BUT THEN explore the surroundings of Cradle like other planets, have a sort of second haven on another planet or something. Wouldn't that be great, another planet other than Cradle with different monsters and a plot including more of the crimson order or whatnot. However that may only be me still I'd like the idea of a different planet with a Haven that you can choose along with the current one and have the ship just travelling between the planets, maybe even the return of the Alpha squad.

But I realized, we haven't really explored the circumference of the planet, haven't we? If you do look at Cradle from the outside, there's a whole friggin continent to meander about in...

Not to mention the dark side of the planet. Just look at that glorious land we haven't touched yet.

We always get free mist. Do you mean "we get mist at a faster rate?"

Details of how it will look like?
Sanctuary, since that is kinda around depth 30+.

Will it actually be a level?
I dunno, all the radicals and conspirators can answer that.

Depth 30 - 31?
We may have skipped a few floors down, but definitely above depth 29.

Laggy?
Is it graphics-intensive? Do you have an old computer? Are you using the wrong software? Is your Internet crappy? etc.

Do you get a reward?
Our only reward is going back to the destination 2 years later than scheduled.

Is it going to be a new achievement for reaching it?
We have achievements for beating a Tier, going down depths, and visiting subtowns. Think.

New mission for it?
All SLs combined? Sure.

If so, what's the name?
It's probably going to have the same punny or generic name as most levels and missions do.

Will it be a bonus one?
No, what's so "bonus" about the core?
