I just had a couple of questions about the angelic set.
Background info: I primarily use swords and at the moment I have a wolver set
1. Should I switch to the angelic set for tier 3?
2. If I switch where can I get the recipe? The wiki doesn't say.
3. If I go with this set should I get the crown and armor of the fallen (for attack speed increase) or should I get the Valkyrie set. Also is the fallen set harder to obtain?
And any extra info would be much appreciated.
Angelic Set
Thanks for the info!
I thought Vanaduke was fire/undead so was I wrong?
If I crafted a vog cub set and a fallen set and used both in different strata would that benefit me more or is the vog cub better in any strata?
Vanaduke is a Fiend as far as race is concerned (at least to my knowledge, although I'm basing this solely off the fact that Cold Iron Vanquisher doesn't seem to do any noticeable bonus damage), although unlike regular fiends there's no bonus from elemental damage or penalty from shadow.
Firestorm Citadel itself is full of undead, and fire status-- which is potentially what caused the mix up.
Vog Cub would probably be better because it has a much more potent attack speed bonus than Fallen Set, and elemental defence is a better "all around" (Defends against fire AND shock status damage, all gun puppies, fire gremlins, menders' Ember Bolts, to name a few) defence than shadow is (Shadow, keep in mind, is only really useful against undead enemies, and Greavers).
I've heard a lot of people say that Vanaduke is not a fiend, and that he just takes slightly more damage from piercing weapons, but again I've heard much shouting on both ends of that discussion.
1) Most people will tell you to stick with Wolver because Vog Cub is armor of choice in Firestorm Citadel. Not to mention Angelic set defences (normal and shadow) are useful, but not as useful as Vog cub defences (normal and elemental).
2) Angelic set recipes are bought either from Basil at terminal floors, or from other players.
3) As for "difficulty to obtain", Valkyrie and Crown have the materials required, except for their 5* materials. So one isn't really that much harder to get than the other (You can obtain the 5* materials easily with 20 of the appropriate Sparks at Brinks). As for which to use, that would be a personal preference, I guess. Fallen Set would be better for citadel because of it's fire defence, but the fact that you do less damage on fiends means it's not the most viable armor for Vanaduke himself (or any fiend-based strata, for that matter). Curse resistance isn't that important unless you like to use Gran Faust's special attack, so it technically has the better defensive stats. Just be sure to not use it if you go into a fiend-based strata.
