We all (should) know that swords have different charge attacks, such as the difference between a nightblade and cold iron carver. One sprays out in a line, the other spins.

Customizable charge attacks:
Swords: The ability to change your charge attack, even if there are only 2 options, if something I'd like to see. To allow, for example, the calibur to have its original attack, (the spin) and swift attack (3 slashes), and a 'charged' attack (think grand slam) could allow players to show diversity and help add to the whole 'class' thing, letting players choose between a heavy single attack, or a swift attack.

Guns: Same thing as above, just like a super shot, an antigua-type charge attack, and an alchemer-type attack. Simply to let players choose their style.

Bombs: Being charge attacks already, if its an ice bomb, for example, options could be: big ice explosion (classic bomb) bomb that shoots ice shards, and a bomb that makes ice pillars appear in a circle (sort of like a shard bomb).

Overall: Choose the way you play! :D

I appreciate constructive (again, CONSTRUCTIVE) criticism.

Thanks! :3

If you like explosions you make a brandish, if you want a 360 slash you make a calibur.

Why choose charges and not different weapons entirely? There's your diversity.

A few things to point out...

If this were to be the case, no one would think of getting a shard bomb again; what would be the use if another bomb(like the nitronome) could do the same? Then all shard bombs would be rather useless. :( This also applies to the spur chain, as if a spur's charge could change, there would be nothing special about it.

Contemplating Comments of Constructive Criticism

People would decide that they like the basic shots of a weapon, but don't like the way the charge works (Polaris). They can then switch to a weapon type that is decently powerful yet not absurdly so due to its smaller clip (Drivers) or a weapon that has a stupidly strong charge (Autoguns) and turn the original weapon into something totally ridiculous. Saying that you want one function and not the other would pretty much defeat the whole purpose of needing two separate guns for separate things; people would just end up getting a Polaris and switching out its charge abilities. Nobody would ever buy different weapons because they could all function pretty much the same way.

You may have your cake and eat it, but if it tastes of oranges and carrots then you will have to put up with both oranges and carrots. If you know what I mean. Unless you wanted to pick out the carrots, in which case I guess you could theoretically not have to put up with the carrots, so I guess that my simile isn't really working that well. What I am basically trying to say is that you do not get to pick and choose the best parts of each gun, because then we are swiftly headed into the territory of Overpowered Weapons.

tl;dr: 15 Polaris bullets in your face? No. -1

we don't want to add to the

we don't want to add to the whole 'class' thing, it's one of the attractions of this game that there are no classes, also, resricting the charge attacks brings a little strategy into the game when it comes to choosing loadouts

Charge attacks are a relatively important part of the game... though this could be used to re-balance stuffs.
