changing brandish series combo

something is bothering me lately: the second hit from the brandishes sends the target back, instead of the third hit. this makes you miss the last [scrap], that makes you walk a lot foward, a lot of times.

not rarely you send the enemy back and with last "hit" you stop right in from of it but not hitting it, making you vulnerable.

i know that you can just hit twice and use shield cancel, but i dont think this should be mandatory. only hitting targets near an obstacle make you hit all three times perfectly.

Or hold the swing as if you were charging, walk up and release it instead of clic-clic-clic as fast as you can.
It works better with heavy swords.

On a related note, this knockback and disadvantage is more noticeable on light monsters such as zombies, scuttlebots. Though however some tracking enemies like greavers and mecha knights do not get significantly affected.

If you think brandishes are bad, you should see the sealed sword line. Cutters appear to have the problem too, as too with the troika lines. Perhaps it is intended, for the sake of making that last hit (with more damage than the first 2 hits) have a chance of missing? Nah, it is just the weird extra range AT gets.

maybe they coded it to have same effect as the heavy swords (2 hit combo), but faster and just add another hit in the end (that mostly misses)?

and well, my best sword so far is a combuster, the rest are 4* ones (avenger, silent nightblade...). im using it to farm in FSC and god, it misses that zombies a LOT. as mine doesnt has any UV (plaining to farm exactly to put CTR for spam charges attacks), i find myself using the regular combo countless times, and makes me angry evetytime i get hit because the second hit sent the target away and last hit sent me right to it but misses.

My Glacius doesn't have any UVs, nor do I have any ASI ('Side from my Vog Cap), but Chargespam works fine.

Furthermore, I only ever use the first two hits anyway. If I'm being mobbed, mobility is important. Completing the combo limits that.

Comboing I save for the 'heavier' targets, because I need the DPS to eliminate them ASAP. Heavy targets don't get knocked back much at all.

No. It doesn't work that way. Quite clearly as well.

In any case, I don't really find an issue, even when I do resort to full-combos on regular mobs. Try adjusting your aim.

EDIT:
You get pissed at an already effective weapon's minor fault? Mecha please, the Winmillion's charge attack can miss a target at point blank range.

Seriously, at that range it does no damage. None.

how does adjusting the aim makes you not miss targets that are sent far?

am i missing something?

about charge, even with no UVs i do charge when there are mobbed targets, like 3+, but if there are only 1 or 2 i go for regular combos.

Someone who uses Brandishes for something other than the charge attack? Am I dreaming still? I had a weird dream last night involving plants vomiting helicopters at dinosaurs in space, but someone using a Brandish for its basic attack is just weird.

Anyway, non-heavy swords. When using their basic combo to get all three hits instead of shield cancelling the first like a diaper-eating-baby you have to be very close to them for all hits to connect. Close enough to smell their breath and compliment the minty freshness. Enemies like that. They might become your friend. Attack the other knights instead then go out for air hockey with you later. What was I talking about? Standard sword basic combo, yes; if you use the first and second swings they can chain without being too close to the target, but since the third swing of these kinds of swords deals more damage than the individual previous swings you only get it if you were close enough to the target to show you mean business. And not the mutual profiting kind.

Great idea! Lets make one of the most over powered weapons in the game even easier to use! Who cares about timing their swings; I just want to click my mouse as fast as possible and still do well.

hm?

what exactly is overpowered in these swords?

some people are just blindfolded. DA has a MUCH stronger charge attack, and deals more damage per hit.

DA's Charge is horrible now.

Considering that Combustor has the Highest DPS, riding the wave, the mass spamming, faster combos.

And DA can glitch.
