How about a placeable turret like weapon similar to a mech, it starts out as a gray metal box , and once you place it, it unfolds and acts a friendly turret, the puppy would have limited health, which would go up the higher the tier grade, it would go from tier 1 to tier 3, deal normal, at tier one it would shoot one bullet, at two 3 bullets and at three 5 bullets.

i know it is a sorta wacky idea, but i would love to hear your thoughts

Considering the long pause between shots of the original gun puppy (plus chance of missing, and the fact that it only covers one angle at a time) it'd kill slower than a shivermist.

Now if it's something like this... http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Mecha_turret

it would probably attack

it would probably attack faster than a normal gun puppy, the spiral order took samples and created their own upgraded version, but this is not a terribly serious idea, just something that came to mind, and i thought some people might like it.

How bout no, the spiral order already stole so much from the gremlins and to then use it agents them is even ruder then what they are already doing.(you know, invade there planet, mass murder any/all who stand agents them, ect.)

We're evil man!
How would you like it if the constructs make evil twins of us with voltedges, final flourishs, trollaris, vts and Gran Faust?
okay, that sounds cool but no. you wouldnt like it.

Well ...

Technically they did, with the Mecha Knights. Admittedly I've yet to see a construct use a Polaris, but I assume that's an oversight.

It would definitely be interesting if you could place a Mecha Turret any time you wanted, the same way you can call a Mecha Knight at any time. I don't fully understand the implementation, but if OOO can have people place furniture in guild halls, doing so in a combat zone might not be a stretch. They use the same tile system.

However, I should note that doing this will result in insane numbers of Team Fortress 2 references ...

I don't quite u dear stand this. Do you mean like a mechs knight capsule kind of thing? I guess that would be ok. They just couldn't face roll everything. And they'd have to be rare too, if they are like that. Kind of like curse vials.

Waffleconecake, this is about the item itself, not the morals surrounding it. Also we crashed here, we didn't invade, and I think that the gremlins may have attacked first ( Well apparently razor did, or something. Somehow I didn't get to do that mission, maybe because I was past that part of the game when missions were added. I'm not sure). there is a
So the fact thatgremlins are smelly and so I don't care until they take a shower.

@Amaki, what TF2 references?

I ..

i support this idea. I dont like that it will look like the gun puppies though. i rather it be a new invention and on that shoots only normal bullets so that it wont be usless like the mecha turret that only shoots piercing in a jelly farm (useless). Please come up with a design and some mechanincs for it. Also some stats for it like health and resistance would be nice. Anyway, goodluck.

Where?

I've checked the pages for Exploration, Damage, and Aurora Isles and can't find any mention of the Mecha Turret's damage type.

Given its beam most closely resembles Valiance fire, and because it's a very old part of the game (IIRC damage types weren't in alpha versions), I'm assuming the Mecha Turret causes Normal damage. Certainly if it were Piercing I'd expect it to look more like a Blitz Needle. (Which might be an idea there, but I'm not going to go into it.)

Quote from the wiki

Quote: "When activated, it damages enemies with its continual laser beam that inflicts piercing, as well as creating a 'knock back' effect that will push targets against a wall."

does this help? (@Amaki)

I still don't believe it.

Will probably attempt to check this afternoon.

Also I noticed that 1) absolutely nowhere on the wiki links to that page, so it probably doesn't get fact-checked, and 2) the edit that added in the piercing damage was made by a certain Magnus, who ... well, it's a complicated matter.

They kill anything relatively quickly (aurora isles is a clear exmaple, you fight lumbers and jellies :P).
Damage type doesnt matter but it does seem odd to be piercing.

Maybe he meant it pierces the target literally speaking but wasnt talking about damage itself.
